one of the biggest disappointments in my life is when I wrote a letter to TPIR as a 10 year old (Bob was to me then what Reagan is to me now...an idol/hero. I wanted to be host of TPIR as a kid) the letter said he didn't have time to write to everybody and they hoped the picture they sent would serve as a thanks for watching the show. Except they never sent the picture. I wrote back with this info...no response :( Although I still have that letter.

The show must go on. It's a big hit. Nobody can even come close to how many years TPIR is on the air. and consecutive years, no breaks. With Bob, Drew, doesn't matter, my great, great, great, great, great x50 grandchildren are gonna see or know about The Price is Right and all of it's hosts. Ya know, I'm glad someone else said the same thing I was thinking. In all the years I watched that show either sick in bed as a kid or while I went through college, Bob looked EXACTLY the same.
