@sanyo4575 Thanks, a 14ft fiberglass is really heavy and 400 pounds is alot so with a 2hp it would go very very slow. probaly around 4mph if that. with a 5hp it would probaly go around 6mph. with a 9.9hp it would probaly go around 12-14mph. I would defintly go with a 9.9hp or bigger if u are looking for a motor

@sanyo4575 with my jon boat with a 2 hp when my brother and 5 of his friends it hits about six mph and they are 16 and 17 but we have to patch a fiber glass boat and a gas can for our 20 hp but me alone in my boat it hit about 12mph

my two boats are a wetline aluminium deck inflatable with mariner 9.9 4 stroke and an old sun bird with a 4.3 ltr OMC in blue my friends have a bayliner bowrider with a 5.0 ltr mercrusier they also have a honda aquatrax F-15 jet ski and they have a suzmar inflatabe with a suzuki 2.5 as a gtender for thier bay liner

@batteryman54 im not sure i havnt tryed a 5hp on a 14ft, we have 15hp and 25hps on our 14footers but it will probaly go like around 12mph. what kind of 5hp do u have

The foam boats look a bit scary was that on a pasture or golf course pond the water looked dyed.

Great clear photo's and closeups on the slide show thou... Did you use the macro setting for those shots or was that an AUTO camera setting?
