I only saw the C=64 version of this game. The graphics look almost alike but the song sounds slightly different. The aliens also run out in a different order on the title screen.

Also, for best results, use the OS-A (400/800) Rom images.

This isn't quite the original as I know it. This one "rainbows" from the middle out to the edges. The original filled in the letters with pixels in the "rainbow" scheme, before filling all the letters later. Might make a vid sometime to prove my point. The music is awesome in simplicity, and a little off-tune, but that only adds to the genuine feel.

This is the Atari version. The one that speckles in is the C64 version.

Nope, this intro is sped up by pressing a console key. See the response vid from mraupp. That has the speckling. That's just taken from an NTSC version, hence the speed difference.

The atari chipset had 4 voices, thus the "harmonies" in the atari version. This is most noticeable in the second part of the song, which sounds god-awful on the C64(cuz the c64 soundchip had "only" 3 voices).

Yeah, the tempo is too slow, check out the response video, it sounds about how I remember. Its amazing, I havent heard it play on a physical atari in almost two decades and I could still pick up when the emulator (which is what this video is from, Im pretty sure) was running too slow just by the speed of this intro music.

The very best of game music electronica. Still an awesome song. If only it could be 'cleaned up' a bit with someone who has some audio mixing skills. Nevertheless, glad its here and maybe someday it'll make it to revamp.
