Hey everyone! I've always dreamed of giving others advice for skin care, make up application, etc. So, I just recently opened up a blog. If you're interested (which I really hope you are) please visit my channel for the link to my blog! (The link is on the right.) Thanks a lot!
Hey! Yeah, you are absolutely right! I lost about 60 pounds in 8 months, and over that time, I noticed pretty much all of my discoloration disappear, My skin never gets a dull color(even in winter), and I rarley get breakouts that aren't from products I try. My skin also rarely gets dry but i do use a moisturizer with spf and retinol for cosmetic purposes. My secret? Green and purple(reddish) veggies as well as fruit, non-fatty protein, a lot of water, and a daily 30-45 minute aerobic workout.
How do I keep my forehead clear of pimples when I have bangs? :/ And also I have a few pimples near my ear and on my temples. Sorry if it sounds gross! How do I eliminate those?
@blondchick4 I hav super sensitive skin n I've used averno since I was a baby. I highly recommend that bcux it's for sensitive skin n it uses natural ingredients like oats n chamomile :) it's great for redness
is eating jelly bad for your skin. i live off of peanut butter jelly sandwiches lol. its peanut butter jelly times peanut butter jelly time...like...everyday lol. and its not sugar free.
do you know of any good active ingrediants for sensative and redness? and does the cetaphil moisterizer moisterize very well? i have eucerin and i like it but it seems to not moisterize enough :(
have you ever tried or heard of any good products maybe like a good green moisterizer that can help out with irrataion on the face and help reduce the sensativitie and redness in the skin?
@blondchick4 hmm, if you want to go completely green, here is a great recipe: oats, yogurt, and honey. you can mix them all together and put on your face for as long as you want. the oats will have awesome exfoliation and good healthy stuff for your skin. The yogurt will keep away big pores and soften skin (cleopatra used to bathe in milk!) and honey is great too. You can use them all together or separately. also try raw eggs. they yellow of the egg is an excellent moisturizer.
@hghbu8 I've heard that from lots of people. It could be anything. I'd start with drinking more water and see if that makes a difference. you could be dehydrated? I used to be a runner and i didnt sweat that much. It wasnt until I really stepped up my training and included weight training that I started sweating... and I also started drinking way more water. So it depends on your body type and training level too.
do you recomend these products for a teen? im a Big time athlete. and SWEEATTTT all the time. Do i have to make sure i wipe my face with cold water after a workout or is it ok if you dont all the time? I do high school soccer so i may not always have something to wipe my face. thanks if you can help :)
@blondchick4 Can you bring a towel with you to keep at the sidelines during a game/practice? I usually have a towel nearby so that i can wipe my face with something clean every chance I get. Also, it would really help if you washed your face before and after. I would also try an exfoliator with BHA to help clean out pores
im 13 and i have normal skin, but i think its horrible. i have BIG deep pores on my cheeks, i have a lot of discoloration and im pretty red in the winter time. i dont like my skin at all :/ i dont drink pretty much at all sodas or eat a lot of candy. and i exercise and eat pretty healthy etc + cleanse, tone and moisturize my skin and i use a mask and an exfoliater once a week. do i use too much products or why my skin looks so nasty?
@PinkBlushing Your skin probably looks way better than you think it does. Go to beautypedia. com and have a look through the website. There is some really useful info there that may help you. Also, their skincare line is really good (i've tried several products and they've all been great.. at paulaschoice. com). If it's really bothering you, you can always see a dermatologist and get professional advice. Try not to worry about it though :)
@Quincy5432 it actually haves been ok looking lately :) i learned to cover up my pores and my discoloration isnt as bad anymore... but thanks for the tip, im gonna check out that website!
I also have the same type of skin as you do && I've been searching for a moisturizer for my skin, what are the names of moisturizers that you use for the summer && winter ? Since I live in the U.S., do you know if its also possible to find those moisturizers here ?
@Prosales94 La Roche Posay has some products at CVS and Walgreens. You can go their website and click on "store locator." Otherwise, you can shop online. The moisturizer I used to use has been discontinued. But anything under the "Toleriane" category works for me since my skin is sensitive. In the summer I use something with spf, and in the winter I usually use something heavier.
dryness has nothing to do with wrinkles, sorry you are giving misinformation. the only thing remotely true is that wrinkles can appear worse on dryer skin, that's about it. loss of collagen and sun damage cause wrinkles..
@1990estrella i have the same problem. many people say you should put moisturizer all over your face including oily areas but i find that doesnt work for me. if i do that then my nose and forehead get really oily and i usually break out. so i just put moisturizer on dry areas (like cheeks) and use a light serum on the rest of my face. i hope that helps :)
I am a strict health nut, eating nearly perfect and I workout at high intensity and I still have ugly acne prone, trouble skin. Too bad, the whole eating great doesnt reflect much on me:-(
@MrBigYole Do you wash your face before and after you exercise? Because exercise heats up the body and opens the pores, so your skin will absorb makeup and anything on it. After I started washing my face before i begin exercising i noticed a difference. Keep eating healthy and exercising because there could be other things affecting your skin like stress or hormones. Eventually that stuff will go away and your hard work will pay off :)
@Quincy5432 yeah, infact i run to the sink to wash it after I workout and it feels better but i suppose i just have bad genes. I am a freelance makeup artist and I usually tell my clients to keep their sheets clean and dont wash face too many times a day ect. so I guess i do what I can and thanks. it probably is stress. I admit I dont handle stress too well:-( Thank You:-)
@MrBigYole Use Accutane the main ingredient is Vitamin A. The only thing is that to make up for accutane you would have to take alot of Vitamin A. It still show though that if it wasn't for a natural rememdy like Vitamin A Accutane wouldn't work. Once you take that your acne won't come back anymore. It's true what she said about cleaning your face because sweat opens pores.
Your tips are right on! Thank you! I too have back problems and I know the pain that is involved with this. You are an inspiration to me!! Thank you SO much for this!

@Quincy5432 Hey thanks! i didnt know that about the lemon...and its other uses! must try that. and i didnt know the amount of spf had something to do with it (i only used 15) And the toothpaste! never in amillion years i would have guessed this! because at night after i brush my teeth its like i mound on chapstick so i wont have dry lips. ur so smart! cant wait for the next video! :)
@redpixie59 thank you! im glad that was useful to you. SPF is very important in sunscreen. A good way to think about it is the higher the SPF, the more protection you are getting from the sun. It provides a thicker barrier between the sun and your skin. I usually use 40SPF and I find that gives me very good protection. But if I want to tan I usually bring it down to 20-30spf so that some sun gets through and i can tan.. but im still being protected.
this is like the first video ive seen in a loooong time that is so informative form start to finish! :D I have the same problem to with moisturizing my lips and vasaline does nothing for me either so good tip with the eye cream.
p.s. i get sun spots, luckily only more so in the summer, is there any tips for help get rid of them, or prevent them?
@redpixie59 An old beauty recipe for sunspots is to rub lemon on your skin. Apparently it's supposed to bleach the skin and get rid of spots. I havent tried it on my skin, I tried it on my hair and it did get lighter. Another thing you can do is get a lightening or brightening cream and put it on the spots (even before they appear). And always wear sunscreen to prevent them -- something higher than 20spf. I hope this helps

YES! though i always say they are FIVE things that people don't mention:
- nutrition
- exercise
- hydration (water)
- sleep (sleep enough hours and don't stay up late)
- there was a fifth one but i can't recall it now, haha
i like the eye cream for lips idea ... i'm gonna try it.
thanks!
