As a RETIRED military member, I agree with the cpl's attitude, but he made a rookie mistake. a. YOU CAN'T ENDORSE ANY CANDIDATE WHILE IN UNIFORM, or USE YOUR MILITARY RANK (while on active duty) The military can't promote one candidate over another. It wasn't that he was endorsing Ron, it was that he was endorsing ANYBODY while in uniform. I wholly support the cpl's interest in our political future, but he did it wrong.,That's why he was disciplined, and I agree with it.

...but the current war may need a martyr to end.

It needs someone to dare speak up and take the consequences for doing so...

@jntramey i watch asshats in military uniforms in their facebook pictures indorse other candidates every day online, what difference does it makes. most have just as many friends.

I knew they would demote him. I will pray for his safety, as they will probably try and silence him when he returns to war. That is how evil the government has gotten and would not recommend anyone joining the service unless Ron Paul is President. JMO

He isn't punished because he said it. He's not suppose to express his political views in uniform. Rules are rules.

@CarlitosM2012 Then it is a good thing that these "rules" are being brought to the attention of Americans, who would probably agree that if a man can die in uniform than he should be able to express his political belief. Just because a rule exists doesn't mean that the rule is just.

@Ohrela I agree with you on that. There are countless rules and regulations that don't make sense and some shouldn't even exist. I don't agree with the punishment and everything his commanders said to him, THEY are wrong for that. His personal video was fine and I agree with him
