I just hate it when my voice cracks up because it's blocked with something...is this a part of growing up? They said it is, because even when I talk, my voice cracks a little so I have to clear my throat. It's not phlegm and I tried cough drops. I used to hit some notes smoothly, but now, it just cracks up mostly, but not always. People said it will go away soon...will it?

@SimlishSammy It will, i used to be like that but i passed 1 year singing and now that dosen't help. I used to do alot of prattice exercises to warm the voice so that when i sang that won't help but now i dont really need to but still sometimes it happens to me especially now beacuse i am a bit sick but dont worry, just prattice

my grand parents on both my mom an dads side have singing ability and my dad does also so I should be able to sing naturally but I sing through my nose I can hold a note for awhile but I have to produce my own vibrato it doesnt come naturally ....tips?

vibrato is something your born with but you could help your self by go aww ooo aww ooo aww ooo aww ooo star slow then go faster and faster

TRUST ME! You dont have to be born with it! anyone can learn to sing. It takes a lot of potential though. Ive been singing sience I was a little kid and I thought I would never be good. Today I started singing and It sounded amazing. So yeah you can learn you just gotta learn the right way!

hey i have a question.. i just started taking singing lessons.. about three classes. Now i realize that she's teaching me to sing the classical way. I want to sing the style that demi lovato or kelly clarkson sings.. but they're not classical singers. What should i do?

That's a very pop sounding voice, that's something you just want to develop on your own mostly, but it's usually a very bright. Smile while you sing, and basically abandon everything you've learned from classical vocal lessons. :) The dictation is completely different, and so is the vibrato, it's more of a self induced vibrato than letting it come naturally.. Also work on controlling your voice at louder volumes because that will give you the support you need. Hope that helps

I thought the same as you when i started singing 6 years ago and im 13 now but i have learned that when you learn this "style" you will be able to sing anything anytime i promise you!!!! By the way Kelly started singing in her school chorus and in school they teach you the classic way to sing!!!

keep takeing those lessons and you will sing better than them.. she is going to teach you the right way to do things and will help you sing any kind of music.. its the same for any musical instument and voice isnt the exception so keep on going..

thats what my singing teacher did! What I did was bring my own music on a cd to her and ask her if I could learn thoose and she did. If your paying for the lessons you should be able to chose your own music so just do what I did. : )

u know...i honestly think u hafta have natural talent in singing. its not somethin u can really just "TEACH" to ANYONE...cuz some ppl (like me) have NO singing talent what-so-ever. and even with these lessons and tips, its just not natural. and i think naturality counts, cuz if we tried this and then went public wit it without it being natural...can u say...PUBLIC EMBARASSMENT!!!
