Fuck the critic, this is a revolutionary show that tells the truth. Since he mentioned Rome a thought came to my mind. I remember in 9th grade learning about it and hearing my teacher say that they celebrated male beauty, but since I was such a nerd I knew because I've read about and heard about it, that they 'celebrated' male beauty in a very interesting way and when I pointed it out, my teacher almost had a heart attack and changed the subject. You can't hide or repress truth.

I have to say I have never seen a show promote safe sex like queer as folk. All of the characters are widely responsible always talking about the virtues of safe sex and when they either catch something or are hopelessly apprehensive. I mean all I can say is what I have learnt from the show is don't have unsafe sex, don't do crystal meth and make sure that you stand up for your family. In many ways its the most moral show on tv and the only immoral thing about it - sex - is secondary to love
