@khalreen You do need agarose powder for this Project Idea. However, it does not necessarily have to be biotechnology-grade agarose. Food-grade agarose, available in some natural food stores, can be used.

@khalreen Yes, you do. My partner and I tried doing this project, twice,with a nutrient agar ( which is a gel) and our agar/baking soda mixture didn't gel.
