your caparison is flawed, you need to compare it on 2 machines with exactly the same hardware. doesn't matter what the hardware is, as long as its the same.
Realistic results.. for not being timed or anything but to me the PC load took forever in that bios and still loaded 7 faster. Vista ... jesh .. i love the new graphics but shizzle win 7 has dx11.. screw microshaft for pushin 10 offa vista short lived and under utilized.
id like someone to explain why so many people even give a crap about boot time. with the exception of fallout 3 which crashes all the time i leave my comp on all day. i want to see performance examples running games and using software. who gives a flying shit about boot times. my god people do something important.
sounds like overheating issues or a memory leak. Boot time is pretty important as if and when a system does need to reboot, it's a lot nicer for it to happen as quickly as possible so the user can get back to work. It's inevitable that a system will need to reboot when it encounters an error or needs updating, sometimes those updates and errors occur when a user needs their system most.
yeah vista pwns!!! but thats not fair because the vista needed the password and everything. it also depended on the power. beta was on a desktop which pwn laptops (except alenwares) and also on the space free and processing speed of each computer. lol halo series pwns
Windows 7 needed the password put in and I only have vista on that laptop because it came with it. I'm not a fan of vista personally, purely because I feel it needs too many system resources for too little gain over XP. It's not the same leap as XP was from 98/2000 and doesn't justify needing so much to run. Just my opinion, if I had a quad core with 8gb of ram, I'd obviously be running vista.
Thats not really a fair comparison, tbh. Computers boot speed depends on the amount of stuff thats on them, and Their power also, to an extent. Unless thats a clean install of Vista, which i see it could be, due to the standard wallpaper on the laptop. Kl idea, nice vid. :)
Windows 7 is faster than Vista.

Windows 7 is faster!
Windows Vista is much slower!
It to append which system you have on both of the computers. And how much software you did add!

yeah I said it wasn't exactly fair, the vista install doesn't have much on but AV slows it down as I found out when I installed AV on win7
