Thanks very much for putting this video on YouTube. It has been very useful in helping me decide which guitar I would like. I've just put a deposit down on a Gordon Smith single cut Graduate '60 (I'm a sucker for les paul type guitars!). Very nice playing. Thanks from the UK!
I have three Gordon Smith guitars. They're all awesome. I use for studio and live, never let me down. In my opinion superior to Gibson and Fender and much cheaper (in the UK at least)
I got my Gordon Smith GS2 custom, i cant put it down!! the pickups are amazing, the coil top makes it incredible versitaille. Ive never played a guitar set up so well. Defintely way better than any fender or gibson out there! I wouldnt swap it for anything (except maybe a prs:)) If you are having doubts about buying one, dont! amazing guitars!
I lent my 1995 gs1.5 out a few years ago and got it back with the neck warped. I had to get the fret board shaved but it will never be the same. Curse him, I cried tears of blood.
I love Gordan-Smiths, I own a GS1, they're amazing, they're really light and well balanced, I'm glad that I learned on one. Not many know this but GS's are actualy better than Gibsons, anyone who owns a GS will know this already, but the action is really, really low, btw, does anyone know anyone famous who plays a GS?
aaron barrett of reel big fish plays one, and he claims its the best guitar hes ever played, even though he has many gibsons to compare it first hand to!
Me too! I tried a couple of these and was blown away! I thought that esrin was bullshitting me about the SG shape with cedar body one's coil taps sounding like a tele, well it did, man I felt humbled. Beautiful guitars, I'm a convert!
Nice to see GS being promoted on the other side of the world in NZ! Nice tone through the Laney too. Just a small point, but I'd also point out the coiltaps on the humbuckers. I own a gs1.5 -40 as seen on the GS website (the first one they made!) and its superb.Go GS!
I had one of these fine guitars in the 1980's ,quality control wasnt as good then but the sound now is just as awesome.

I own a Strat-type copy by MGC, I think MGC changed its name to Gordon Smith in 1979. Does anyone have a clue what its worth now?

Have got a GS1, 1985 model, still use it, and have a 1989 PRS 24 custom and the little GS cuts the mustard

I've got a Gordon Smith GS1, bought it many years ago 'cos I couldn't afford a Gibson LP.
I later bought a Les Paul Custom.
They are quite different beasts. The LP has much better sustain. But overall the Gordon Smith just feels better.
I'm going to get a GS2 in TV Yellow next with P90's.

yeh, by far better than Gibson and Fender...having the lightness of Fenders and the sound and action of Gibsons, Gordon-Smiths are something else...
