Quite a few funny answering machine bits here. My favorite ever was done by a friend of mine. After the Yankees won a recent World Series, he recorded the final out, and that was his machine message for a good couple of weeks. Of this bunch, my favorite might be Homer Simpson.

My ex girlfriend had some stupid pink panther answering machine that just went on and on and on for over a minute, and it sounded like it was recorded off the TV with a cheap computer microphone, so you couldn't even hear what it was saying. and what's even more annoying is when their phone rings once and goes to the answering machine. Pisses me off.

And 2 seconds of that Mr. Sandman one and I would have threw the fuckin phone out the window.
