I believe albino rats have worse eyesight than others, but then again they all have lousy eyesight. Good thing they have good ears and noses! I love 'em, I love 'em! <:3)~

Aww~ I have a little albino baby named Rin.

^_^ I picked her up from the feeder cage at a local pet store and just fell in love.

She's about two now, and she's as happy and healthy as can be!

She licks my fingers and face when I pick her up, and she even popcorns when I say her name~

Albino rats have a messed up nerve in their neck so sometimes all they do is twitch. And they can't bite as hard as reg. rats can. My rat has neck problems but she can still latch onto my finger like a monster. But I still love her and the other rats we have. We have 3 females and 1 male. Then we have 6 babies,we did have like 40 babies. But we gave them to a pet shop,I felt so bad,and I still do and yes albino rats need loving to.

Don't worry, it's not a bad thing that her eyes are different. It's all in genetic makeup. You won't find many like that, so that one's a treasure.

I run a rat rescue and I'm a rat mummy and vet nurse. Albino rats are NORMAL. There is not a thing different. ALL rats see a very very bad vision, and not the same colours we see, albinos see a lot worse, but they are rarely blind (rats generally aren't, but it can happen of course).

albino rats have health problems, like thay see worse that other rats and they sometimes get born blind.

I didn't belive it 2 years ago...it's not that they are worse, some of them live longer than their colourful brothers.
