@lewiss1100 What's with the sermon on judging? I'm not the one telling people they are evil and headed for hell. One of the basic principles of justice is that any punishments must be proportional to the offence. Do you really pretend that eternal torture is a just response to failure to believe? Especially when your Bible clearly says that faith is a GIFT, and god decides who receives it? That is simply evil. That god is a sadistic tyrant, and to call him "the god of love" is insane.

@Imaginefree69 He is not the god of love. GOD IS LOVE there is a difference. Like the fake goddess Aphroditie in Greek Mythology is supposedly the godess of love. Your right God does give everyone a measure of faith. But we must exercise our faith for it to grow. Faith comes by hearing & hearing by the word of GOD.

There are degrees of punishment in hell. Not everyone is punished exactly the same, but all do burn. All are born into sin, but Jesus provided us a way out through His Blood!

Any being who laughs at human suffering and mocks human fear while building and operating a torture chamber in which he plans to torment most of his creation eternally falls far, far short of any form of love. The mythical god of the Bible commands human sacrifice, ritualized cannibalism, genocide, theft, lies, murder, slavery, rape, and the kidnapping of little girls. You call that love? Sad.

@Imaginefree69 Your terribly mistaken it is not God who does these things. It is the evil intentions of man & of course our enemy the devil. God never once asked man to sacrafice another human. He told Abraham to sacrafice Issac only as a test, but didn't allow Abraham to go through with it. God sends only those to hell who do not love Him as Savior & Lord. It is mankind that sends our ownselves into hell. Jesus provided us a way out on the cross. Its up to each of us to decide if we accept Him.

@goal2004 Yes I know of Jephthah he was a judge of Israel that made a pledge to the Lord that the first person who came out of his house would be given as a sacrafice to the Lord. And it happened to be his daughter. However, as I said before GOD did not tell Jephthah to do this. Jephthah made the vow of his own choosing & did not want to go against his word, so he went through with it. God accepted his sacrafice, beacuse it was his vow, but it was never GOD's will for this to happen, but mans!!

God may have not told him to do it, but he didn't stop him, nor was Jephthah punished for this act. Essentially, God condoned the act.

The bible is full of atrocities that are only justified with the same excuse: "God told them to annihilate those people because God said they were wicked.".
