  • what a happy chappy you are love your food so does my family yummmy so easy ..salaam namaste..bhai ;)

  • omg thats making me hungry!!!

  • After I cooked up a large batch of lamb stew, so I could freeze a few meals, I decided to turn some of my stew into a lamb curry. It was full of vegetables and spices and tasty lamb. I was amazed by the taste. Using all the spices and following some simple ideas it turned out amazing. It was as good as you could get from a restaurant. Thanks for the inspiration. Curries can be mind blowing. BAMM

  • What part of the lamb meat did u use?

  • No he's a paki.

  • chicha super keeka yeh curry try kiya yaha pein feedback super my friend words n my words no words thanks.........

  • He did not know, he was being filmed LOL

  • love vahchef!

  • he talks funny..............his he indian??

  • Ajh menoo shrab pilla deo ji? Menoo lamb meat bna deo ji. Ran rakha.

    Mr balvir Singh bhachu uk

  • I love stewed lamb. Can you do the same with goat? I believe it will be more tough

  • @TheMrpalid I've made this with goat... if you cook it at a low heat for a longer time, it can be very tender and even more delicious in my opinion! :)

  • @knzay how do you get rid of the smell?

  • Thanks heaps! Tried cooking this recipe tonight and it was a huge hit

  • He is cool because he loves his food and job.

  • Thanks you very much!

    Awesome flavour when cooked...

  • Namedoryout

Pussy mean everything in life. You can fuck wife day and night.

  • why dont you fry the powdered spices? before you add meat and water ?

  • this is great recipe, because he stays original and true to how lamb curry is cooked. With measurements, start with less and add more. For those who are starting to cook, you need to do a taste test every ten minutes when it comes to curry as it evolves quite quickly and add what you think it needs. I would make a recommendation to replace the coconut powder with dark chocolate and add chopped baby spinach as it is coming to a close and see how delicious it is!

  • a good cook doesnt meaure

  • green chiles??? YES PLEASE!!!

  • that's so much oil

  • I love that little wooden spatula.. Its so curry stained :) Just like mine xD

  • I make lamb curry at home but the cooking on this video is awesome!!

  • Is this a basic lamb curry or basic SPICES curry ??

Its shocking to see how much spices you keep on adding :O

  • can I add star-anise too?

  • I messed up with the heating..

    the lamb never got tender..

how much time should the lamb be cooked?

    medium or high heat??

  • @2009blueice - Its best when left for about an hour on slow heat with pan covered. Only after bringing the gravy to boil!!

  • @2009blueice dear lamb always should be cooked on low(sim) heat....it will take time 30to 45 min ..

  • Thanks Chef.. you know one thing you are a life saver for many people..

  • that... is alot of spices.

  • Balvir.bhachu@live.co.uk. Please send me latest respiy. Thank you

  • uh, soooo. Looks delicious. What happens to the cinnamon sticks and the cloves? I don't think those dissolve. I guess he removes them at some point?

  • Hi Chef Sanjay, Do you prefer Leg of Lamb or Shoulder?

  • Hi sanyaj, please post naatukodi pulusu and naatu kodi biriyaani recipes. Thanks.

  • sorry mate thats crap

  • @donotdecide Why is it crap? should I atleast try and cook it? or is it waste of time?

  • pepper powder meaning BLACK pepper powder?

  • You kick ass

  • Why do you call this curry? there are no curry powder used in this recipe

  • @modelsmall

That is REAL HOMEMAE CURRY. Curry powder is actually a pre-made blend of spices as a time saver, but its crap IMO! Since the spices are already ground in the curry powder, it looses flavor quickly after a few months. The fresher the spices, the better.

  • Dear Van Chef, How long does it take to boil the lambs tender? Under stew heat. or high heat? I am planning to do serve on a special occassion. - Jaquin blanc

  • Why don't you marinate the masala powder into the lamb? Is it better to do it this way?

  • chef you are always so happy have you put another powder in your curries only joking these videos are so good im now getting pretty confident at indian cooking thanks

  • When the cumin seeds are added, it looks like worms wiggling!!! anyway nice recipe! Yum Yum!!!! :-)

  • yummm!!!!

  • assalamu alaikum :)) shokran for the recipes, n I love your attitude, ur so happy mashaAllah!

  • hi, what kind of lamb do you prefer from the supermarket for this curry? Would you prefer leg of lamb or lamb shoulder? And how about for biryani?

    Prithvi

  • lol @ 5:40 . priceless :) :)

  • where is the curry?

  • Thank you Amigoooooooo!!!!!!!! I tried your recipe, its yummy!!!!!

  • Vah chef, Thank you very mucho sir.

    You are # 1 chef

  • This guy is so good, I made this and it taste amazing!

  • lamb curry is my favourite

  • Vah reh vah chef is really funny guy. The way he speaks I think is his from Bengal. But anyway he is a good chef and all his food recepies are MMuah. So tastty Ma Ma Miah.

  • it is aaaaaaall ''bery bery'' hot hhhhh like Indians ;)

  • dear chef, loved the way you cooked it. but i would love it more if you did some tomatoes on it.

  • Mr. Thumma. With all due respect, you are so cute.

  • Thank you so much for this video . I love your recipe, especially since it does not use tomatoes! :D Of course they're optional.

  • "oohhnions"rofl...

  • really this guy is funny! i wud like to see his face expression after tasting wht he has done in all the videos......lol

  • I DO THE ONIONS IN PROCESSOR SO THE CURRY'S NICES AN THICK, and chillies and ginger cloves u can chuk in the processor 2, make it like a paste. and yes cocunut milk is better bt nt 2 add 2 much. i make it and it tastes great,

  • funny 5:40

  • hahahaha what was he doing there

  • This guy is so funny. I'm cooking it now. hopes it as nice as it looks. I'm no expert but instead of coconut powder I added coconut milk. This should make it a little thicker. But you decide to do the same, you'll need to add a little more salt.

I used lamb on bone so my cooking time has doubled but what I am looking for is the meat to just melt off the bone. Yumo. Good luck guys

  • he cracks me up at 5:40 with that laugh

  • I know it's so cute isnt it? :D

  • i thought i'd comment, my names Troy and ive been making this curry for ages with the help of my little indian friend ( as he has become ) this is without a doubt the best curry ive eaten... i make it once a week. thankyou my little friend for putting plenty of smiles on my face :)

  • actually i want 2 know from which city ur , and comment is that u really make very nice food but u eat on the video which makes our saliva to increase in our mouth and it is disgusting that we can't eat at the same time

  • he is frm hyd .. currently dunno .. may be chicago

  • right im going to try this dish. iv tried making Lamb Korma before. i bought the sauce in a jar because its too much hassle trying to get all the ingredients in Tesco, but it never tastes as good as when i get a Indian take away. i absolutly love indian food from the time i lived in little india in Singapore. Rogan Josh Jalfrezi to vegetable currys phenomonal taste,

im gonna fish for those ingredients later & cook this dish as on the video wil let you know how i geton

  • looks good for basic :P

P.S. ur oil thingy looks like one of my bongs lol

  • looks delicious!

  • Do you have to use coconut cream or yogurt?

Also, is the flavors different if you use a pressure cooker as opposed to NOT using a pressure cooker?

Finally, what do you think about browning the meats (Madhur Jaffrey advocates this)?

  • no you dont have to,,only indians like to do stuff like that,,they like unneccesary coloring and stuff. in bangladesh they never use coconut or yogurt

  • looks great but wat is lamb or mutton ?

    .

    .

    .

    .

    aaaaa sheep

  • basically mutton is a fully grown sheep, or goat, it takes longer to cook. a lamb is mid aged witch takes half the time. you can also buy baby lamb what cooks a lot quicker. but lamb taste's a lot better.

  • impressive....

  • truly inspirational my friend, i am gonna have a bash at this at somepoint to beat my brotheres curry lol and when he asks how i did im gonna say i learned from the master vahchef :). Thankyou and take care.

  • BEAUTIFUL, just finished cooking it & my kids absolutley loved it, in fact my daughter didnt believe I made it and my fussy 2yr old asked for seconds!! didnt put as much chillie in though!!

  • no tamrind or tomatos?

  • No yogurt?

  • Hahaha, I know aye, indians put yogurt in everything that's why their food is so creamy and very good.

  • aww fantastic! Cooked this today and it was D-Lish

  • Thanks for the recipie but what happened to you at 5:40 lolzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • He is too happy :) lol...I love this guy!

  • Great vids, Chef! What part of the lamb is used? Is the neck part ok? I only see those at Lucky's. Thanks.

  • Lamb Curry is the best!

  • Am trying it right now! I found some freshly flown-in mutton from India and opted to buy that instead of the frozen Australian lamb. I probably wouldn't use as much red chilli/pepper/green chilli because I like my food on the milder side. Well, I'll write back once I'm done cooking! :)) Thanks.

  • My husband is usually a very fussy eater..he does nt like to experiment with food and most of the time I cook the recipes given to me by his mom. I tried this recipe for a change and he really really loved it. I must say you are def an awsome chef. The passion u have for cooking shows on ur face...motivating us to try it. Keep up the awsome work.

  • fantastic

  • thanks chef saab, bahooth acha he.lol

  • thats great thanks.

  • Mmmm that looks soo yummie...

  • EXCELLENT!!!!

  • the chef should mention how hot the fire stove should be, if its 2 much it could dry out the meat.

Silkymita1980, your recipe sounds delicous too, why dont you make o video of yourself making your recipe? most people remember better by watching. Thanks.

  • i just want to know , how much time it takes for mutton to be fully cooked

  • Mutton is sheep meat, goat is chevon!!

  • it looked good!!!!!

  • Yes Sir, definately mouth watering, I love it when you almost weep when it's finally cooked hehehe. I bet it's really good.

  • My mouth was watering...

    Thanks for the tutorial

  • Nice. 5stars

  • he is right in saying that always cook meat on bone, not lamb also chicken and any other meat.i use chicken legs, thighs and wings in and they come out perfectly tasty in curry with cubed potatoes.i use lamb liver in lamb curry/chicken liver in chicken curry which makes it flavourful and is beneficial to health.most of the time i don't add water to make the gravy but add chicken stock which i make from roast chicken carcass, leeks, carrots, bay leaves which gives the curry a delicious taste

  • Wd it be possible to give us the exact amount of each ingredient, as, if more or less is added, makes it taste different. Thnx

  • i would like to add cauliflower to this recipe, what time would you suggest I add it?

  • Love your videos!

It would be so helpful if you put a list of ingredients and amounts in the "About this video" area. Would make it easier for novices to find the ingredients seeing them written.

    Thanks!

  • I cooked it today, and its absolutely great. Thanks a lot god of curry Vah Chef!! I will cook it on Christmas for about 20 poeple...Best regards from Switzerland Europe.

  • Would it be acceptable to substitue chicken instead of lamb with this recipe.

    Loved the video Blue

  • I just cooked this and it was, as Sanjay says, "AWESOME!".

  • How long do you cook the lamb for? My lamb curry sometimes turns out tough. How do you make the lamb tender? Thanks!

  • Simply wonderful, I know what I will be cooking tomorrow.

    It looks great.

  • dear sir. thank you for ur recipe. you are the god of lamb curry :-) i tried ur recipe it was great !

  • Lamb curry is must in all parties in my area,

    and most liked preparation.

As said it is abasic preparation.

I watch for veriety of preparation with other parts of lamb.

  • I like your presentation style. Good cooking as well. keep posting good recipes....

  • In the ginger-garlic paste, what are the proportions of ginger to garlic? I really enjoy these videos. I watch them in the morning-the chef's positive energy really helps me start my day right! Namaste!

  • 2 of ginger and 1 of garlic is good for curries

  • It would be nice if you write here exact amouts of ingredients.

  • @naqibaba

when u r experienced you dont need all that ehehe just throw in your gusses and jumbo.... a tasty recipe comes out :D

  • @naqibaba measurements are for pussies

  • @sf49ersrule Such language is for beasts.

  • There is a lot of misconception about lamb meat being bad for health.

However if cooked as said by Sanjay thumma it can be a good source of protein of high biological value.

Pepole with low haemoglobin (Iron) and those who are recuperating from illness benefit immensely from soups made of meat.

The cartilage in red meat is an excellent source of calcium and is good for children and pregnant women particularly.

Therefore Sanjay come on with other recipes with lamb meat.
