FYI: Another amusing ad in this series, plus more Pam Austin acting clips, can be seen under the title: "1967 Dodge Dart TV ad & Pamela Austin tribute".
Just moved my '67 from a conopy at my house to a nice dry storage unit. I still have the original 273, but swapped out a 340 wedge from a friend's 70 Duster. Needs to be gone through because it went to storage while I raised my kids. It's day is coming! Same colors as the car in this commercial. I like the commercial!
ok, the gas gauge on my moms 1967 dodge dart is not working correctly. it will come up to the E line when turned over but doesn't indicate gas levels. she actually has the schematics for the wiring and it shows its a dark blue wire that goes to box #1.
is the problem the wire OR the fuse? can anyone point me in the right direction?
my mom has a 4 door slant 6. no more vinyl top though. she took auto mechanics just so she could work on it herself. she's 70 and still works on it. car is a beast at 43 years of age.
These cars were also made in Argentina under tehe names Dodge GTX - two doors V8- , Dodge RT - two doors Slant six 6 cylinders- and Dodge Polara - four doors 6 cylinders.
I had the Dart GT with the 273 V8 2bbl. White with black vinyl top, dark blue intererior, bucket seats, console automatic stick shift. Really nice car, best looking dart ever made. Actually handled quite well.
The Dart was built like a tank. That 2-door hardtop model was in production for almost another 10-years w/basically the same body shape. Compared to other US built cars from the 1960s and 70s-it WAS a compact:)
The Dart always look spotier than the Valliant.

A Dodge Dart was a mighty fine Chrysler. It was a damn good car and a very serious Chrysler. That was one boss car.

Got my grandmother's dart (2 door coupe) when i was 16. 225 Slant 6 - easy to fix and had some balls too. Frame rot led to its demise. Great ride!

@Dress2Splash I remember that one, too. Pam is the same girl who did the 66 Charger commercial, and others.
Looks like we have an intruder who doesn't care for Darts (-1 each remark)!
My first car was a 67 Dart 225. You could actually leave some rubber on the ground with it.
