Too bad you don't like the keyboard! It looks pretty great, although the layout got me worried. For one, I like the placement of the delete and insert buttons above the backspace. It seems like a logical spot for me. The home, end, pg-up and pg-down buttons might take some getting used to, however.
You can really see they tried to strike a (lopsided) balance between usability and compactness. I think I could get used to it, but I can imagine it being a hassle for others.
@Demoras Yeah I liked the look of it, too, which was why I bought it. After about an hour I could tell I wasn't going to be able to stand it when editing. I ended up returning it and got a Logitech K800 keyboard which I also reviewed here.
Ahh, about the USB issue, I've had that before with non-Logitech stuff. Or any USB devices, actually. This is what I think is a hardware issue that I've usually solved by completely disconnecting the power cable for a couple of seconds. It's kind of weird.
I really like the mouse :) It took about a week to really get used to it, but I was able to play a good match of Quake Live within the first hour of usage. Beats any gaming mouse I've used thus far, and it's not even a gaming mouse.
@Demoras Yeah I actually don't have the issue anymore since I got rid of my extension cord I was using on my USB hub. Seems it was complicating quite a few things, and the new receivers work flawlessly now. I too love the mouse, and probably will be buying another for my mac and then adding a trackpad, since I think the Magic Mouse functions are pretty cool but they would work better if they were independent of the mouse itself (they get in the way in some apps) THANKS FOR WATCHING!
@MindPower009 The K800 looks like a really good product. Definitely a different price class though. Seems like "You get what you pay for" applies :)
I actually had some issues with the receiver that were fixed by using a USB hub, haha! Having the receiver in the back of my desktop caused the signal to stop working sometimes (strangely enough! It should work just fine). Putting the receiver in a hub on top of my desk seems to have fixed the problem.
@mrbeady9 because I type by touch, and the keys aren't separated the way my other keyboards are. It's very much a personal taste thing. My Mac keyboard is the same way, and I'll probably be buying a different keyboard for it, too.
Good Review. I just got one of these keyboards today i dont have the same problem as you with the layout as its very similar layout to my apple thin keyboard. Horses for courses i guess, i'm very happy with it anyway. Im interested in that rollerball mouse too so thanks for the video it seems to fit my needs.
@shaolindreams Thanks for watching :) Yes I've recently discovered that about the Mac keyboard. I have the wireless, but I can't stand the square layout of that either. It's a good remote for when we're watching shows on big screen but for editing I have to have the 10 key version with the separated cursor (arrow) keys and home/end pgup/pgdn keys. I know it's probably OCD of me LOL. Thanks for stopping by!
@difflocktwo Nah I showed later on in the video that it was from my old trackball. It's exactly the same, if you're talking performance. I just like the red better and my wife has a blue one so it's easier to tell them apart.

Holly red ball! When did they switch? Is it better than the blue one?

@BroBryce2009 Yeah I commented before watching the video. I have done the same but never actually used the red ball.
