  • make me a samich

  • Lounge?

    That´s a normal room:D

    LOL

  • @labtech19 Define a "normal" room :-)

  • @Monstoday

    it´s a kitchen not a Lounge:D

a kitchen with a computer and lights and a couch... but funny :D

  • @Monstoday My house is open-plan downstairs :-) The camera was standing in the lounge part and that's were most of my DMX lights are.

  • @danspp3 Aww thanks for the kind comment :-) This was 3 years ago, and I have since gotten myself a fog machine. I really ought to record some up-to-date videos!

  • @Monstoday How much did you pat for the entire setup?

  • DMX lights in your lounge is one thing, but you have no extract over your hob. Tut tut.....

  • Hey, thanks for the reply.

I will research luxeon LEDs. I have also recently found that 3-watt led's have a much longer throw than 1-watt, which is important if you are trying to wash a wall on the other side of a big hall. Maybe the Luxeons ARE 3-watt?

This is so important, yet try to find videos of color-changers operating at a distance. No one seems to get it.

Well, thanks a TON. This really helps.

  • @cableaddict - Mine were the 1W version. Their throw is good for up to 7 metres, which is your average school classroom. If you're going to be lighting up a hall, I would definitely recommend the 3W luxeon LEDs. I have two stage blinders (google "LED stage blinders"), built on 36x 3W LEDs (12 of each colour). I used these in a hired hall, 15 metres in length, and these babies were good :-) When they're not being used at a party, I have them in my lounge, same room as this video. (DMX hobbiest!)

  • What exactly are you using for the color wash? That look is exactly what I need.

I searched on Abyss Sound & Lighting with the names you ist, but nothing comes up.

  • @cableaddict - Hiya :-) I was using 2 Mxcolor moving heads (I'm Brit despite the American spelling of 'color'). The Abyss site used to sell them but remember, this video was uploaded almost 3 years ago. What you're looking for are moving heads with luxeon LEDs - luxeons are the size of marbles and are much bigger than standard LEDs. These moving heads contained 18 each, 6 of each primary colour.

  • Kool I wants some of those lights!

  • how do you make light like this i mean color the room pink of blue?

  • fuck, i want those lights

  • lol ;) if only my mum allowed that down in the living room!

  • It's called having a hobby. I've had quite a few people around, and the reception I got was good. Thank you for your concern, kind sir :-)

  • Hiya :-) I bought the kit from Abyss Sound & Lighting. For some reason, Youtube won't let me post URLs, so just put "Abyss Sound Lighting" into Google.

  • good it so good :)

  • you suck

  • tzz

  • sounds all pricy, i want stuff that lets me make a virtual one without lights, except the ones on my pc,

  • very very good

  • where can you get those mxcolor heads? Because I've been looking, and I can't find any =\

  • Didn't mean to post that as a response to the previous post...sry.

  • So is that one of the pars that is to your left in the video, like behind the CPU monitor? I presume you are using some DMX control software, what is it? Nice fixtures

  • Hiya :-) Yes, I am using software, as opposed to a DMX board. The software is called DMX Wizard. It uses a USB-to-DMX adapter.

  • Is that the software by Alcorn Mcbride?

And is that an elation par that is seen shine on the wall to your left in the Video?

  • is using the software easier than using a DMX board?

  • Sweet light show!

  • his electricity bill wouldnt be much cz there l.e.d lool!

  • How Much Did They Cost?

Because I Need Some For My Collage And If They Are A Reasonable Price I'll Get Them To Buy Some.

  • did you find out the price?

  • nope i didnt =[

  • perfect for parties!

  • Hate to think what your electricity bill is like!

  • LEDs use substantially less power than conventional bulbs.

  • How much money did those two disco lights cost

  • those look loke the martin mac 250s (kinda)

  • lol dude they look no where like the mac 250

s i think your referring to the mini macs
