@danspp3 Aww thanks for the kind comment :-) This was 3 years ago, and I have since gotten myself a fog machine. I really ought to record some up-to-date videos!
I will research luxeon LEDs. I have also recently found that 3-watt led's have a much longer throw than 1-watt, which is important if you are trying to wash a wall on the other side of a big hall. Maybe the Luxeons ARE 3-watt?
This is so important, yet try to find videos of color-changers operating at a distance. No one seems to get it.
@cableaddict - Mine were the 1W version. Their throw is good for up to 7 metres, which is your average school classroom. If you're going to be lighting up a hall, I would definitely recommend the 3W luxeon LEDs. I have two stage blinders (google "LED stage blinders"), built on 36x 3W LEDs (12 of each colour). I used these in a hired hall, 15 metres in length, and these babies were good :-) When they're not being used at a party, I have them in my lounge, same room as this video. (DMX hobbiest!)
@cableaddict - Hiya :-) I was using 2 Mxcolor moving heads (I'm Brit despite the American spelling of 'color'). The Abyss site used to sell them but remember, this video was uploaded almost 3 years ago. What you're looking for are moving heads with luxeon LEDs - luxeons are the size of marbles and are much bigger than standard LEDs. These moving heads contained 18 each, 6 of each primary colour.
u are not normal !! i could imagine ur neighbors they probly think u a rare one haha especialy in ya livin room and kitchen on top of ya fridge and that haha lmao try it in ya room or summuts people gunna think u a dodgey one m8 !!
Hiya :-) I bought the kit from Abyss Sound & Lighting. For some reason, Youtube won't let me post URLs, so just put "Abyss Sound Lighting" into Google.
So is that one of the pars that is to your left in the video, like behind the CPU monitor? I presume you are using some DMX control software, what is it? Nice fixtures

OMG kiddies, get a life... Ok so you can hook some wigglers up to a DMX interface and make it blink. Any tech with half a brain can do that... Did anyone ever stop to think about the artistic end of the design? Hideous...

@Monstoday My house is open-plan downstairs :-) The camera was standing in the lounge part and that's were most of my DMX lights are.

Hiya :-) Yes, I am using software, as opposed to a DMX board. The software is called DMX Wizard. It uses a USB-to-DMX adapter.
Monstoday 4 years ago
Is that the software by Alcorn Mcbride?
And is that an elation par that is seen shine on the wall to your left in the Video?
palmeris 4 years ago
is using the software easier than using a DMX board?
