This is what i do when i think my bunny is sick i check his ears checking if there cold or hot when there cold it means there not feeling well. And when you see there not pooping normally than it usually does (which is problaby diarhea) it may cuase death.

I thought the same thing until my rabbits started digging in the trash to chew on a bone or some unwanted meat. It's not like I fed them it, they went for it! I know animals are smart enough not to eat something that kills them so I trust them. I've let them eat any meat they want for the last 7 years and they've been just fine as if they're eating vegges.

I think this "all veggie rabbits" idea needs to be double checked.

To correct you Rabbits Must never have saw dust in their cages, Especially smalley rabbits because they can breath it in as it is in small sheds and they can choke on it. My vet told me this. You're pet is fine when she breaths fast. You shouldn't give you're rabbit ALOT of leaves and grasses. I know if you give them to much carrots they get the runs. Just feed it her pellets, some hay, and Only One or two leaves of lettuce a day.

Rabbits breathe rather quickly there is nothing to worry about. It is NOT okay to give your rabbit "all kinds" of plants! It's not safe and some plants are poisonous! Timothy hay is always a good choice to feed your rabbit, as well as rabbit pellets and treats you can buy at a local pet store. I usually give my baby bunny two handfuls of pellets and a block of timothy hay a day. Rabbits will chew on paper, and it hasn't been a problem for me. Newspaper ink is usually soy ink. It's harmless.

do not feed your rabbit iceburg lettuce as can harm it also types of greens are poisonous to rabbits so watch what you give it occasionally give your rabbit half a apple and half a carrot cos carrots have sugar so it should get your rabbit pooping but not too much carrot as can cause upset stomach but if push comes to shove you may have to take him to the vet

do NOT feed rabbits lettuce!.. although you see bugs bunny munching on a big juicy lettuce, lettuce causes stomach upset for bunnies, and is very bad for their degestive system. it causes them to have runny 'business' and can leave them ill for up to 2 weeks or so. very bad for bunny's, use cabbage instead, not lettuce.

Since you've only had her a few days, give her time to get used to you. Although some rabbits just don't like to picked up as they feel safer on the ground, like my rabbit. I've had him for agesss, he doesn't mind being stroked, he loves people and attention, and is cool with pretty much everything. He just doesn't like being picked up so we avoid it unless we have to. So I guess it varies between rabbits.

Dwarf bunny's are very small and stay small. All bunnies need Hay so there isnt a way around that unless your mom is willing to take some pills for that. remind your mom that bunnies are v.clean animals that can be toilet trained. If you take care of it yourself she doesnt have to be anywhere near the hay. Hope that helps

If a rabbit doesn't work, have you ever thought of a rat? They're smarter than rabbits, and can be just as friendly. You can keep them in the cage most of the day, but bring them out to romp around and play with you when you have the time.
