  • I was lucky enough in 1967 to be hired to assist the Mark Boyle Sensual Laboratory running projectors for their light show. The show was for Soft Machine who were the opening act for Jimi Hendrix's first US tour. Pretty heady stuff for a 14 year old.

  • @projektor4 ah! ok.. cool band though. i loved robert wyatt while being interviewed once on tv, talking about the top of the pops appearance when he sang soft machines cover of "i'm a believer" (monkeys), and how when they were about to go onstage, he was taken aside intop an office, and asked either not to go onstage, or to cover his legs up!!!! he told them to feck off, and knew right then he would never be asked on top of the pops ever again...

  • Could you tell me when this video was made please? The image is very crisp - usually 35mm or 16mm from the 1960s as degraded far beyond this. . . is this authentic or a re-creation? . . . and the sound? did you graft it on . . . ? I ask as a historian of the 1960s
