To be honest. I prefer post black album. Only because before the black album they were competing with Slayer and Megadeth and in my opinion those two bands are better. And at least Lars can play the black album songs on drums properly. ;-)

One of Slayers songs sounder almost the same as a Metallica song, I think Motorbreath, i dunno, but it was faster.
