@pHiLind3 The two girls singing are indeed twins. They are Lee and Lyn Wilde, who were sometimes billed as The Wilde Twins. Although they appeared with Bob Crosby and his Orchestra in this 1943 film, Reveille with Beverly as well as the 1944 release, Presenting Lily Mars, I don't believe they were regular members of his organization. If they were, their tenure must have been brief.
@connormcj25 Lets be honest, this entire video reeks of perversion and pedophilia. Bob is totally eying up the girls, the clarinetists seem elated that their instrument vaguely resembles a thingy and Ray Bauduc (the drummer) is just Ray Bauduc.
I know one would not expect someone with a username like mine to say this, but this type of music is pretty awesome. Yeah, I found out about it by playing Fallout, but who cares?
Great voice, sophisticated piano, harmonious backing vocals, catchy tune, melodious bass line, the best drummer ever and some sweet jazz chords coming from that there archtop.
That is all I aim to achieve in life and more. It's a shame that I cannot because music is no longer art. At least I have Mr. Crosby and all the others to remind me that I must never be afraid to dream.
@49677severman Oh. I don't listen to rap but I get still respected? Maybe it's your personality :P. No but really, " I won't have to listen to rap " you mean that in your neighbourhood/work place you need to listen to rap otherwise you are a morron ? Too bad : ( in amsterdam only people think slighly " wtf kind of music ya listen 2 " when you listen metal ;p Grz
@49677severman Funny you want it to be 50s music when this amazing song was 1941. I really don't like close minded people like you. What is it your business what other people listen too whether it be Rhythm and Blues or Rap.
Get fallout 3 video game, this music is all through it on Galaxy news radio, this is how i got hooked on this great music..Also Danny Kaye and the Andrew sisters" Civilization" is great if you have not heard it!
@neverknewtillnow Thank you for your comments. I appear to have a retarted way of lisening only the words in songs & music, which is why i cant enjoy nothing newage as it is all rubbish (although I am a young man of 22 years). Sad thing is that culture shapes people and society, This rubbish culture we currently have is ripping the fabric of society and it appears to have an amplified effect as time goes by. Just watch TV for a few hours and you'll see why the world has gone mad. Cheers
i wish i lived in the period because those truly were the days when music was great but then we wouldn't have some of the things we have today i just iwsh the music didn't change
My band is learning to play this song XD

By far the best upload of this version of such a classic tune - best sound quality as well.
There's also a brilliant midi file available if you want to search for it - that way you can extract the meusic itself to play on piano or guitar.
Great stuff.

Composing and singing, and quite unashamedly looking at the girls' breasts. Bob Crosby was the man!
