  • My band is learning to play this song XD

  • Hands out to the Crosby family, really. Giving this world two amazing singers: Bob and Bing Cosby!

  • I love Death Metal.......what people don't know is I love Swing. :D

  • thumbs up for the smokin hot blonds!

  • the bobcats

  • Those two girls singing, were they anyone famous? Or were they just part of the band?

  • @pHiLind3

I really don't know. They appear to be twins.

  • @neverknewtillnow

I think it's Lee and Lyn Wilde.

  • Comment removed

  • @pHiLind3 The two girls singing are indeed twins. They are Lee and Lyn Wilde, who were sometimes billed as The Wilde Twins. Although they appeared with Bob Crosby and his Orchestra in this 1943 film, Reveille with Beverly as well as the 1944 release, Presenting Lily Mars, I don't believe they were regular members of his organization. If they were, their tenure must have been brief.

  • By far the best upload of this version of such a classic tune - best sound quality as well.

There's also a brilliant midi file available if you want to search for it - that way you can extract the meusic itself to play on piano or guitar.

    Great stuff.

  • @AlanSturgess

Thanks so much for your comment.

  • Composing and singing, and quite unashamedly looking at the girls' breasts. Bob Crosby was the man!

  • 480p definition in 1960.. obviously!

  • is there anywhere i can download this song for free?

  • @modernwarfare134

You might try to Google it!!!

  • @neverknewtillnow i did nothin useful

  • @modernwarfare134 Convert it to mp3.

    clipconverter.cc

  • @modernwarfare134 download dvdvideosoft really good

  • @modernwarfare134 Youtube to MP3, google it.

  • @modernwarfare134 Use Keepvid mp3 download - online and free

  • DAMM that boy can play the drums we need more talent like that *sighs* oh well too bad we dont :(

  • @modernwarfare134

Ah, but we do have YouTube which allows viewers to reflect upon the past.

  • Those women look like they've been dragged out and forced to sing. Love it though :)

  • @connormcj25 Lets be honest, this entire video reeks of perversion and pedophilia. Bob is totally eying up the girls, the clarinetists seem elated that their instrument vaguely resembles a thingy and Ray Bauduc (the drummer) is just Ray Bauduc.

  • This needs so many more views...this is so great.

  • @TheDrunkMexicans

It will sound even better when you guys sober up!!!!!!

  • @neverknewtillnow Ha. :)

  • I know one would not expect someone with a username like mine to say this, but this type of music is pretty awesome. Yeah, I found out about it by playing Fallout, but who cares?

  • @TheHeavyMetalPirate

Regardless of how, pleased you found the music.

  • lol im from Winnetka, illinois

  • Great voice, sophisticated piano, harmonious backing vocals, catchy tune, melodious bass line, the best drummer ever and some sweet jazz chords coming from that there archtop.

That is all I aim to achieve in life and more. It's a shame that I cannot because music is no longer art. At least I have Mr. Crosby and all the others to remind me that I must never be afraid to dream.

  • 0:52 look at the clarinetist! i'm wondering what is he laughing at :)

  • @AybeSound He gets to play in the Bob cats with Bob Crosby.

    Lucky ******.

  • 50s should've stayed the 50s..so i won't have to listen to the dumb rap music of today -_-

  • @49677severman

I imagine a lot of people share your view.

    Thanks for the look.

  • @49677severman This was from 1943. The song was first recorded in 1938.

  • @49677severman Oh. I don't listen to rap but I get still respected? Maybe it's your personality :P. No but really, " I won't have to listen to rap " you mean that in your neighbourhood/work place you need to listen to rap otherwise you are a morron ? Too bad : ( in amsterdam only people think slighly " wtf kind of music ya listen 2 " when you listen metal ;p Grz

  • @49677severman Funny you want it to be 50s music when this amazing song was 1941. I really don't like close minded people like you. What is it your business what other people listen too whether it be Rhythm and Blues or Rap.

  • Thats one bitchin drum solo

  • Not to belittle the quality of this music, but...twins.

  • This looks like they did this in a movie, similar to how the Glenn Miller orchestra and other big bands were. Does anyone know the origin of this?

  • @pHiLind3

This particular clip is from "Reveile With Beverly" however, I believe it was originally from the movie "The Raging Bull"

  • @pHiLind3

    They've all got false teeth?

  • Fuck the future!! take me there!!!

  • now this is what i call music.......nothing today touches this..and i mean nothing..it has everything

  • @oddjobjujitsu

I am always pleased to hear from a person with taste.

  • music was awsome back then now you dont even need to sing

  • is it "Big Noise" or "Big Wind" ? The title above the video in bold black letters says "Big Wind".

This is a far cry from Lady Gaga. This is really nice, smooth, lovely music.

  • @cijeey

It is "Big Noise" I am surprised it has gone unnoticed his long "Mia Culpa"

Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

  • America I love your old music *_*

    Nice wishes from Germany.

  • @DerParasit666

I am pleased we are able to provide such music through the medium of YouTube.

    Thanks for watching.

  • This was one of my Dad's favorites ... miss you pal!

    Thanks for everything!

  • Get fallout 3 video game, this music is all through it on Galaxy news radio, this is how i got hooked on this great music..Also Danny Kaye and the Andrew sisters" Civilization" is great if you have not heard it!

  • Anybody seen Bette Midler's version? Always kills me.

  • aww yeah.

  • wish I lived back then the music was great

  • @Fredy728

As MrGeokal commented, "There is a growing number of people learning to appreciate the great music from the past on YT"

    Thanks for the interest.

  • bands these days don't know how to play instruments like that x_x

  • @TigerPatamon

You are correct however, you have the exposure to all the great bands of the past here on YT.

  • Why couldn't I have lived in the golden years of the Big Band?

  • @F45B

I don't think anyone who did live in "The Golden Years Of The Big Bands" would trade them for today.

    Sorry you missed them!

  • This is talent non of this new age crap

  • @MrGeokal

It is pleasing to know that a growing number of people, such as yourself, appreciate the fine old music and films available thru YouTube.

  • @neverknewtillnow Thank you for your comments. I appear to have a retarted way of lisening only the words in songs & music, which is why i cant enjoy nothing newage as it is all rubbish (although I am a young man of 22 years). Sad thing is that culture shapes people and society, This rubbish culture we currently have is ripping the fabric of society and it appears to have an amplified effect as time goes by. Just watch TV for a few hours and you'll see why the world has gone mad. Cheers

  • @MrGeokal

You have a good grasp on things.

    Thanks!

  • i wish i lived in the period because those truly were the days when music was great but then we wouldn't have some of the things we have today i just iwsh the music didn't change

  • shit son, how do u whistle like that!? straight teeth? LOLOLOL!

  • This guy is amazing although I heard about him from a game, I still love this music. :D

  • Sad no one else of my generation even knows this music, keep uploading, i'll be watching!

  • @TheCakeIsASpy0o

As I read the comments from other sites that feature old music, I find many younger people enjoy the music and wish they lived during the period.

Pleased you are one of them and I thank you for your comment.

  • @TheCakeIsASpy0o I would love to live in this generation... but I also enjoy the music of today today. Not as much as this though.

  • @TheCakeIsASpy0o Im 15 and i know of it

  • @TheCakeIsASpy0o I DO MAHN!!!!! lol, I am still in highschool and this is so much better than the poop they listen to

  • My grandmother and grandfather met Bob Crosby when he was old.

  • Incredible Job! idk how you did this, but i congratulate you!

  • Thank you so much, I appreciate your comments.

  • great upload job !
