It's a commercial....companies use TV characters to help promote their products all the time, whether its "related" or not.

I bet the animation was also done by TMS as well, the characters and designs was so much more what I would expect the show to be. Too bad WB had to also send work out to a dozen other locations to grind out those 65+ episodes. People say the Kennedy Cartoons episodes are crap, yet I thought they were brilliant to some of the other work on this show (usually I felt it lacked in the story department and often the animation made or broke it).

Startoons and TMS both stood out as the two really high-quality animation studios. Kennedy was under supervision from the owner of startoons, beacuse he himself wasn't very fit to run an animation studio (this is why most Kennedy-animated segments turned out sloppy.

there was also very little collaboration with the Animators regarding the model sheets. that's why each studio had a different interpretation of the characters: TMS staying truest of all to the original desighns
