OK, watch the first video on the right, it's undoubtedly a headbutt people. Cavendish is an insane rider, most cyclists cheat (tell me a sport in which there are no cheaters), yes there was a small bit of elbowing, but Renshaw should have simply elbowed back...not Zidane headbutt the guy...

Renshaw was in the right dean was in the wrong he cut across and renshaw was saying im there. But for everything that happens in a sprint the blame always falls on HTC and cavendish like as in the tour of sussie stage 4 cavendish was the only one who got in trouble and Heinrich Haussler was just as at fault as cavendish was they both left there line and leaned on each other to me its all a bunch of bull shit hate that they have for HTC because there better then most other teams!!

Even Dean and Farrar (the Garmin riders in question) agree that such contact is just normal sprinting. It's tough at the front of a bunch sprint, there's no room for cowards who don't defend their line.

Penalising Renshaw for the stage would have been fine, but not from the tour. Dean had hooked Renshaws arm with him - how else was Renshaw supposed to communicate that to him within the last 500m??? The bigger sin was switching Farrar once Cav went, but even that wasn't enough to justify being Dq'd from the Tour.

Its a rule that during sprinting you dont interrupted another cyclist course by delibered contact.

He made a danger out of himself towards other ryders.

He could easily fall and harm many ryders.

Ofcourse, Renshaw shouldn't have used his head to make clear he doesn't want that, but still, Garmin should have lost their last man before their sprinter too.

I'm aware Cavendish is a Manx man but I was merely pointing out that HTC are generally perceived as being a US team as they're based in, funded by and run by Americans. Also, considering that Renshaw is also from Australia, it does kinda highlight that iandunrosstruan's comment was a bit daft.
