  • love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The sparkle is indeed quite important.

  • Forget the Pepsi; nowadays I'd like to find that Pepsi vending machine from this period in incredible condition (and cheap. But the dream ends here!)

  • Where's the coke at?

  • WOW a motor scooter! And they are not wearing helments!?!?

  • @dieselducy That was back when people were safe lol.

  • @SSHPCS2 I know. we are so worried about being a "zero liability" culture..

  • Any one know the music?

  • @Gmancrap Quincy Jones and Herb Alpert were involved with a lot of the spots from this era not sure about this particular one...

  • Back in 1961/62 my neighbor won a radio contest for a date with the singer of these 1960's commercials...Joanie Sommers (Johnny Get Angry..One Boy)

  • Why was "Pepsi" always pronounced two different ways in commercials? Pep-see vs. Pep-sihCola--can someone explain this?

  • Is that Joanie Sommers?

  • You were cooler than 007 if you "ESCAPED" the Coke commercials and arrived at drinking Pepsi.

  • now, that's what I call service!

  • Back to the era, when you could easily ride a bike without helmet, and enjoy your ride,...

  • luv these classic commercials play them like FOREVER and colect more please!!!!!!!!!!

  • this song is now stuck in my head -_-....... COME ALIVE!!!

  • I remember the British version of this 60s commercial.

  • Life was such an uncluttered scene back in those days. This same roadway today is full of unsightly commercial strips and lots of trash. We've lost it, people.

  • @rr7firefly1 Actually, it looked like a location north of SF, that is still like this.

  • They're trying to say "you're mod, you're with it," if you drink PEPSI!

  • That beautiful desert scenery at the end...that's now another subdivision outside of Las Vegas. Well, at least the Pepsi doesn't need helicopter delivery there anymore.

  • That was so gay

  • If you were in the Pepsi generation, you'd be in your 60s. These people look like they are in their early 20s, this commercial was made in 1963 according to another you tube video. This is to ThreeOranges.

  • damn!!! that's to old dude!!!!

  • Joan Crawfords husband, Alfred Steele, was the president of Pepsi Cola came up with these commercials aimed at a younger crowd. He succeeded brilliantly and Coca Cola suddenly had a real competitor on their hands.

  • How long has Pepsi been in England? According to a woman I went to school with, she told me she and her family moved here when she was four in 1967, and she had never drank a Pepsi till she came here. The US I mean.

  • The backing singer for this commercial is my cousin, well known UK singer from the 1960s, Valerie Masters.

Her husband was Dick Katz, the pianist from the Goon shows.

Valerie is alive and well, now living in surrey, England and is still as bubbly as the Pepsi Cola.

  • @bugutwo hey thanks for that info. I was trying to figure out who was singing. great voice

  • lol

  • I remember when pepsi used to come out of the sky by helicopter, especially if you were in the middle of nowhere, ah those were the days !

  • According to another you tube, this commercial came out in 1963.

  • i like Pepsi ice cold

  • i had a old pepsi box just like this one

  • nice i love it.

  • Coke vs Pepsi: Hands down PEPSI!

  • Looks more like the geriatric generation now days.

  • "...the young view of things..."

    I love it!

  • god I wish a helicopter would bring me a Pepsi machine from the sky

  • @MatachiMugen I have to say I burst out laughing when I read your comment! Absolutely hilarious! Thanks!

  • kinda messed up. total propaganda

  • I read some place their slogan "come alive" translated in Chinese as "Pepsi brings your ancestors from the grave" LOL

  • The Pepsi Generation was cooler in 1984

  • Joanie YES! And where but HERE in southern California could you make these commercials??? NO WHERE!!

  • When were these commercials made? 1960s?

  • Yes, sung by Joanie Sommers (:

  • Pepsi tastes great in those bottles..too bad they don't exist anymore.

  • Stupid propagandists... I still like pepsi though.

  • Comment removed

  • I think you mean smart propagandists.

  • jsadberry: Pepsi and like drinks main cause of obesity and diabetes.

  • Ahhh, I could go for a nice refreshing pepsi right now.

  • i love pepsi ,i think scooter is pearl yamaha not sure...but great vedio....

  • Great spot! How did you get it, and what do you mean you'd be dead? Are you a captive of Logan's Run?

  • pepsi kills

  • Middle aged? Umm, these people are what college aged kids looked like then.

  • Pepsi was the principle sponsor of "The Addams Family" on ABC; I remember this spot during that series during its original airing and the announcer after the show opening saying: "'The Addams Family'...brought to you by Pepsi-Cola. Come alive! You're in the Pepsi Generation."

  • someone smart please help me

    this video was good ml

  • ha ha....love this jingle. When Napster was in its heyday, I downloaded it and still have it.....great jingle!!!

  • I love Pepsi!

  • I remember seeing this commercial in the mid-60's, when I was a child. A great memory jolt.

  • propaganda

  • Very true. An example of transfer propaganda, where there's an appeal to help people visualize they're part of something.

  • I know Jesus loves Pepsi.

  • If you don't drink Coke, you don't like Polar Bears.

  • exactly, 1963

  • This isn't from the 1950s - 1963 at the earliest.

  • I was about to say.....

  • who is the singer in this commercial anyone know

  • joanie sommers or summers

  • Joanie Sommers (nee Joan Annette Drost).

  • great production values for the 60's- and yes the clanging of the glass bottles was nice

  • Pepsi sucks! Drink coke!

  • YEAH!!

  • lol

  • heyy this is what britney spears sang in her commercials back in 2002

  • I remember this one jingle from the early 70's "You got a lot to live, and Pepsi got a lot to give!" I would love to see that again.

  • Those used to be on YouTube about a year or so ago. It would be nice if someone put those back on imo; my personal favorite is the one spotlighting SmallTown USA.

  • Me, too! Check out the guy with the Oxford shirt. Hunk.

  • Makes me want to run right out and get a Pepsi.

  • your text for this is A+!

  • my tatay said that he used to love these vending machines when he was younger. he said that the banging of the glass bottles was what he remembers the most.

  • @michywhackswhat's a tatay?

  • If Pepsi put its vending machines in remote rural locations, maybe that explains why they were #2 behind Coke for so many years.

  • God thats great. That comment made my day.

  • I've been looking all over for this jingle with that great instrumentation!!! I'd love to see the one with the Amphicar.

  • ha, i love your description for this video.
