Actually, Kim released two projects in the early to mid '90s. I had both on cassette tape years ago. One song from her second project got a lot of air play on the radio. The song was titled Amazing. Most radio stations would play the song and never say the name of the artist, but her fans could tell her voice. That's how I ended up with the tape. I wish I had it now.

I'm glad you like this version, but it's not the original. The original was lead by none other than Dr. Beatrice Gardiner on the If I Be Lifted album. It was posted once, but removed by youtube. Rev. Brunson had a gift for substituting anointed soloists with other anointed soloists. Thank You and Safe In His Arms are two songs that Dr. Gardiner led for live alburm recording sessions, but they are also remembered well for the soloists who covered them in her absence.

No. The original soloist is none other than Dr. Beatrice Gardner. She is also the original soloist for Safe In His Arms. Dr. Gardner can be seen singing that song on another youtube clip of the Tommies Reunion Choir. It seems Rev. Brunson always had capable backup singers who could really make a song their own, as evidenced by this version of Thank You and Pam Crawford's two versions of Safe In His Arms.

I agree. I bought her two projects in the '90s, and was hoping for more from her. I didn't hear anything else after Amazing until she was a guest soloist on Seasons for Malcolm Williams. Of course, I was glad when the Reunion Choir released their CDs and DVD, and am glad she is with D. Lawrenece. However, I would love for Kim to put out her own project again.

Actually, Dr. Beatrice Gardiner sang Safe In His Arms, Thank You, and He Can Do It. Sylvia Nicholson-Mickens sang There Is No Failure. My understanding is that Dr. Gardiner is now a pastor in Texas. There should still be some clips of her ministering posted on youtube. She is an awesome woman of God. There is also a clip of her singing Safe In His Arms with the Tommies Reunion Choir.

When I first heard this song, I could tell who was singing it, just by how amazing it sounded. My local gospel radio station has religiously played this song everyday for the past few days, and much to my surprise, I had a friend with a copy of the "If I Be Lifted" album and now I have a rare copy of the original, unedited version released on the "If I Be Lifted" album. This was taken from a concert done by the Tommies and many other gospel greats back in 1989 that aired on cable TV. I saw the album in a record store in Augusta, GA. I was only about 17 when I bought it, but have kept this album and a few more all these years. I bought a record player at a thrift store last year just so I could play my albums like this.
