I've seen worse outfits like this at competitions. Would I want my 7 yr old in that outfit? No. Am I going to bash someone else's parenting because I dont agree with it? No. Everyone is going to have an opinion, take it with a grain of salt.

I take it she is just starnting out. The coreography was age appropriate and not to difficult for her level. There were mistakes but all those will be fixed with time and experience she was very good. She looks like she is really loving being up on the stage. The costume was cute ,,,only one small thing. I would have added some trim on the skirt to add a bit of sparkle. Otherwise it fit her well and was not to skimpy. Cute little one.
@SomethingSimpleRox its not too late! two of my friends started dancing at 13 on my competition team. at first they werent as good as everyone else, but your older, so you learn a lot faster and you'll improve a TON. thats what happened to them, and your already ahead of them, it was there very first time dancing. anyways it doesnt matter how good you are at dancing, just as long as your doing what you love

I completely agree, this young girl is 7 years old. The one thing I noticed abouve all, even her flexibility ( which was very good i mush add ) was the fact that she did not stop smiling, and did not stop performing once. Right there, is a true star. And she has not been forced to grow up, she is aloud to be that cute fun innocent little girl who WILL one day grow up to be an amazing dancer. I applaud you gatewaydnce for all that you do. She actually has pretty good control of her arms for a seven-year-old. She just needs to turn her palms in during turns so they aren't facing downward. Good job!

Without getting into the costume debate too much, I would extend the top down so it didn't show that much of her belly, but that's just me.
