AD over chris johnson anyday! Id pick AP in any situation... Especially with the game on the line... 4th and 1 :) AD TIME!!! haha CJ just too much finess for me. All of the holes CJ runs through are as wide as the atlantic ocean. The vikings oline is struggling and has been for a while now. AP makes the holes and pulls away from defenders... Ask me the difference from a 4.24 and a 4.38? Id say nothing on that field...

this is a no brainer. AD vs CK2J is like the battle between Lebron James and Carmello Anthony coming out of college into the pros. AD is a homerun back who is just waiting to explode. CK2J is about speed and quickness. We all know who the better back is between the two.

Titans have a better line than the Vikings. Vikes line was banged up all year.

Biggest difference to me? Zone blocking. It's impossible to zone block against a stacked box, that's responsible for AP being hit in the backfield . The Titans have a more traditional blocking scheme that creates designated holes. They also use CJ intelligently and run him outside, put him in space when possible.

If the Vikings used AP the same way Tenn. used Johnson, there'd be no discussion about who's better.

i pick Adrian now, but in ap's rookie year, i would pick him, he had much more burst in his legs, and his O line is AWFUL this year, PLUS they dont give peterson as many carries, AND somehow AP averages more yards per carry than CJ, they each have 1 rushin title, and r both slowing down like Eric Dickerson did. Also watch out for Jamaal Charles he can break 1 any time he gets a touch and hes 2nd in rushing this year with very few carries. all about YPC

Even though there both just nasty running backs AP is better just because if the fact thats even when theres no holes in the defense he can still get so many yards.The reason why the showed more touch down clips for CJ is because he has a great running offense so theres always multiple wholes in the defense that he can run right through

ya cj got 1,228 yards his rookie year but so did peterson and he was out for 3 games. Also do you see how many carries it takes for cj to get those high numbers. last year the vikings where 7-1 when peterson got 20 or more carries. thats why this year he has 392 yards already cause hes finally getting touches.

At least they have a rivalry which will make them better....but nonetheless CJ had a better season last year. Take into consideration the difference in fumbles and yardage.....i think we can say CJ is better

I think Peterson is hands down the better athlete, CJ reminds me more of Robert Smith which is still a really good thing. CJ had the benefit of a run first offense and a better offensive line.

AP is best. CJ is a beast, but I need to see him do it more than once to call him a better running back than AP. Last season, yes, he had the best production from a running back. On a lowly team that had no other options than to run the ball. Doesn't convince me that he's a superior back to AP. Just my opinion, I'm from Minnesota.

@dawhiteguy622 The Vikes had one year when Favre was good that we had a good passing attack, and that was it. Look at this season. We are 31st in passing YPG, and AP is still averaging 99.6 YPG. CJ had 98 yards in 3 games, and now has 250 through 5 games. In case you can't do the math, that's 50 YPG. CJ (or his agent) knew that he wasn't going to produce this year, which is why he held out. Smart move on their part, but that doesn't make him a top RB.

They all sign the big contract and go down hill. Alexander retired early and LJ is sitting on his couch right now waiting for some team to pick him up. CJ will be in the same place if he doesn't get his act together.

Good video. It's definitely hard to say who's better, especially since CJ has only had one year. Also, they are different types of RBs, making it even harder. Both are great runningbacks with Hall of Fame potential written all over them. That being said, in my opinion, Chris Johnson is better, not by much but ahead none the less.
