sounds like a cheap movie song. Thamizh deserves better. Why does everything have to sound like a high-strung guitar backed pop song? we have poets who can write a real poem and song instead of this badly made up pointess lyric? If only Karunanidhi had focussed full-time on Thamizh literature & arts and left politics alone both Thamiz and Thamizhnadu would have been much better of.

An impression seems to be mostly created that "semmozhi" (refined language) is the language (Tamil) and culture of a period convering ancient period times upto about a millennium ago. This concept is debatable. Whatever that may be, the music style of this anthem on the glory of Tamil as fostered by its speakers and their literary leaders, can hardly be called 'Tamilian'. It is trusted this will be taken as a valid criticism.
