Palestine has the right to self defence. WHen there was acease fire, Hammas abided by it. Israel did not, they broke it 30 times and continued to blokade Gaza.
Israel is stealing Palestine.. The world must recognize this.
I certainly have no fondness for Hamas but jusy declaring they are idiots does not resolve anything. If they are idiots they are idiots with considerable power and have to be dealt with in a reasonable manner.
However I do agree than until Hamas accepts Israel's right to exist there can be no reasoning with them - period.
Palestine has every right to exist! But firing rockets on daily basis at innocent school children and mothers is not the answer. Also, suicide bombers is not the answer to achieve support from the global community.
No no no!! You are wrong! Hamas have DELIBERATELY placed themselves alongside innocent civilians, so that they can use those people as human shields. It's very sad that innocent people are being killed - but you can thank HAMAS for that.
Also, have you forgoten that Hamas support child suicide bombers? The suicide bombers who climbed onboard Israeli buses knew DAMN WELL that those buses were full of innocent young mothers and school children. And yet you have to nerve to criticize Israel :)
They are targeting Universities, Police Stations, Government Buildings, Peoples homes.
They are all Innocent Civillians... There is no Army in Gaza, just a bunch of people resisting against a Nazi regime that is stealing their land and forcing them to live without food, water, electricity, medicines.
Sderot is Built on a Palestinian Town that was Bulldozed by the Israelis. If the Israelis in Sderot leave, there will be no need to fire rockets.
I have nothing against the innocent law abiding Palestinian people whatsoever. They have every right to what is rightfully "theirs". But in all honesty, do you really think Hamas are best option to represent these people.
Hamas are terrorists, and they have increased the risk of death and destruction for the Palestinian people.
this is low even for you dean, are you suggesting that the land the israelis are occupying belongs to them?
once again your racist undertones are being hidden (badly). Any idea why these israeli tanks are being asked to ceasefire by 99% of the worlds population?
The United Nations approved Israel as an independent state back in 1947.
I'm not against the Palestinians, I'm against Hamas and the daily rocket launches into Israel. Are you trying to justify that??
Even Obama declared he would be horrified if his own daughters had to live in southern Israel with the daily threat of rocket launches.
Oh, by the way, if you're a fan of Obama's, you may be in for a shock, when you discover that he (like previous US Presidents) will be "pro" Israel :)
Maybe I'm being idealistic, but I feel that the Jews and Muslims should all learn to live together in the same way that we are doing in this country! Afterall, the UK is now a multi-cultural, multi-faith society - and we have to try and make the best of it!
I have already expressed deep sympathy for the Palestinian civilians. What more do you want me to do ffs?
Israel could well destroy Hamas. Perhaps many Arabs secretly hope that this will happen, because Hamas are not as popular among Muslims as this organization may think. Israel cares for the lives of its citizens and soldiers, and that may refrain them from invading Gaza Strip by land.
In addition, One destroyed Israeli tank is a bigger victory for Hamas than hundreds of killed Hamas fighters mean to the Jewish state.
The problem is, that everything you say is complicated enough already. The hamas is not going to stop launching rockets and the moment Israel decides to give any form of loans to Gaza, those loans will be used to buy more rockets. Sad, but true. In this situation hamas needs to disarm first. Only then will Israel be able to do everything you said without having to fear more rockets - or worse - from Gaza.
Hamas is, like Hezbollah, a resistance organization, which can only thrive in an environment of conflict and bloodshed. Israel can tackle a Hamas-Qassam shelling for a while but sooner or later, the missiles will come down again in Sderot, Ashdod, Ashkelon and Beer Sheba - and it is likely to be with upgraded versions.
Make no mistake, I am and have always been pro-Israel. I travel to Israel, do business in Israel, love Israel and its people. I have a daughter named Shoshana. However, asking Hamas, which was elected by the people to dis-arm in advance of concessions from Israel is not practical. What can Hamas do;
1. Accept Israel.
2. Commit to a safe and secure Gaza and ZERO cross border violence.
I do understand where you're coming from. But that's where the complications settle in imho: hamas cannot disarm in advance, but Israel cannot allow for supplies to enter Gaza or give any loans until hamas does. Otherwise, all Israel has to get back to is a promise from hamas, a group, that has been fiering rockets during the ceasefire both sides had signed. On the other hand, if supplies start entering Gaza and hamas breaks the agreement, that means more rockets and more terrorists.
If Israel goes into Gaza with troops nothing will be sorted out there " says

I agree, in the sense that Israel is perfectly capable of eradicating Hamas, but politically it is not feasible. It would indeed cost thousands of lives, and not only palestinian lives.
The principles of the Hamas are stated in their Covenant or Charter. Following is one of the highlights.
"Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it"
In other words: Your speech makes sense, but Hamas wil never give up this part of the charter above, as Hamas is not interested in peace( recognizing Israel )
if israel goes into gaza with troops then it will be sorted one wat or another, but just sitting on top of the hill trying to muster up the courage to go in is not going to achieve their goals
If Israel goes into Gaza with troops nothing will be sorted out there will just be hundreds or thousands more dead on both sides. There has to be resolution not simply trading dead for dead.

The IDF are Dropping 1,000kg Bombs and firing Rockets at Civilian Targets,
The Israeli Navy are shelling a densly polulated Civilian Area with High Explosive SHells,
Israeli Artillery are firing 155mm Howitzer High Explosive shells at Civillian areas.
These are War Crimes, pre-mediated Mass Murder

The only way this thing is going to end is for one side to completely defeat the other. That is generally how wars are stopped.

If Israel "goes into Gaza", lots and LOTS of people will die on both sides, first and foremost. That's the completely wrong thing to do.
