no actually its one of gms most dependable engines ive herd of them lasting over 300000 miles and i have one that has just over 200000 on my daily driver
I had an 84 Cavalier with a 2.0 that wiped a rod bearing. That was with regular oil and filter changes. I suppose I could have fixed it but the whole car was becoming a piece of sh#t.
By the sounds of it you aren't even old enough to obtain a license. I don't care if you don't want to see (or hear) my videos, if you don't want to, then don't watch them. Am I forcing you to? Nope. Why don't you go play in traffic or jump in front of a train?
Did you just repeat what I said in a 5 year old attempt at being witty?
You must have a mental deficiency so I'll stop making fun of you as teasing retards is generally frowned upon. Have a nice ride to school tomorrow on the short bus little fella.
lol your right teasing retards is generally frowned upon such as your self. Thats the only reason why i repeated your mentally challenged comment. So ill repeat it again why dont you go play in traffic or jump in front of a train?
Dude, i thought i was the only one, i got a 97 2.2L 160K orig, speed, spun 2 or the mains, rebuilding it soon ill get a vid should be funny to compair
Fuckin fag, it was a convertible, ever see the interior light on a convertible? Not what you think until you see it. They suck. Plus I was recording with my old phone, I was filming for the sound. Do yourself a favor and go pound sand ok?
My cavalier makes the clicking sound sometimes if the oil is low. That clicking is a rocker arm. All cavaliers get that problem. The engine is not blown in this video, but its about to die u can hear it lol. Tell ur girl to bring it in for an oil change!!!! or an engine swap!! good luck lol
I'm sorry but are you retarded? You honestly think that's a rocker arm? You are off your rocker if you think that's anything but a bottom end rap. The engine WAS blown in this video, despite what you have to say.
Considering I wrote what the mechanics at the dealership told me... they must be retarded too. I guess that's why they work at a well known dealership. Anyway it sounds exactly like my old car, thats why I say rocker arm. I didnt know you could drive a car with a blown engine either, so chill out, smart ass.
Bud, I assure you this was no rocker arm issue. Maybe if you're deaf and just picking a name out of a list of car parts you'd think it's a rocker arm but I am 100% certain this was a bottom end knock.
Contrary to what you believe you CAN drive a car with a blown engine, just because the engine is "blown" doesn't mean it's undriveable.
No clue, I was driving her car one day and as we got off the highway I heard it ticking a slight bit. Got way worse on the ride home and turned into this.
Sounds exactly like what happened to my 96 Cavalier. It started off with a bit of power loss, then the oil pressure light started flickering off and on. Within 2 days it had a major loss of power, wouldn't even hit the rev limiter in neutral, and heavy knock. The dipstick was covered in silver colored shavings. Funny thing, it wouldn't make a noise when started from cold, idled for 30 seconds then the knock came on.
My car did the exact same thing. My wife was driving it, she said it was ticking, then suddenly it turned into a loud knock and lost some power. Now it sounds like this Cavalier. I was wanting to get in rebuilt anyway. Now I have an excuse.
ok when you know better than me , sorry i just sqaw it i had to look at the video a second time!, so what happend with this car?I just got my subaru impreza rebuit myself, blown head ,so got a port and polished heads anyway ill post videos soon , i dont really like this blown sound ,it givewsme the kaching sound of lost money :P
Actually now that I remember it's the ABS light because the unit fucked up when she first got the car so I unplugged it. Oil light didn't come home in the whole drive home. :)

This looks like the check engine ,light , it is normal to be up when your engine does this kind of sounds :)

Trust me, it's the ABS light. I unplugged the ABS sensors after the brakes started locking up at low speeds with normal braking.
