It's a shame comments are so negative based off the Disney brand when the director's one of the top guys from Pixar (Andrew Stanton) with Michael Chabon as a co-writer. This trailer doesn't sell the fact this is a classic space adventure story.

@naverednog While I agree with most of what you said, Burroughs didn't write the 1st sci-fi novel. H.G. Wells and Jules Verne were writing sci-fi novels many years before Burroughs wrote Princess of Mars. Although that doesn't affect Burroughs influence on science-fiction, literature or pop culture in general whatsoever.

I've not read Burroughs work but this trailer makes me want to and I am a big fan of Robert E. Howard (creator of Conan the Barbarian), who was himself inspired by Burroughs.
