You can be on the fearful side of copyright, just like they want you to, or you can keep on creating what your heart tells you is right and support transformative works and copyright reform. Music is part of our culture, we are entitled to it, it cannot be caged away by the corporations, shared only to those willing to pay.
They will take down, we will keep reuploading for as long as WE see fit that it stays on OUR Internet.
true story: i went to India, actually met the Dalai Lama in Dharamsala, wrote this monologue on the back of a postcard with H.H.D.L.'s face on it and sent it to my sister. Good times.
My father watched this movie on betamax so often that I can pickup where someone leaves off when quoting caddyshack, and could probably continue to the end of the movie. RIP Rodney Dangerfield!
Bill Murray was dead on with this role. I caddied on the North Shore of Chicago (where Bill Murray also gew up) for 8 summers when I was growing up and there are definitely older odd ball caddies that have the most ridiculous stories like this. I love this movie because I lived it every summer throughout my teens. Best summer job ever.
Bill Murray, whenever I'm feeling down and my friends are stuck in 2nd gear, and my girlfriend has to make another week long business trip. When not even Robin W. or Eddie M. can help. I will watch your characters in MeatBalls and Caddyshack and the laughs never fail to arrive.
This scene has to be one of the greatest in Films. As funny today as it was 30 years ago. Then again there are 5 or 6 scenes in this movie that one could say that about. Caddyshack - the measuring stick for all-time low brow comedy.
It's not improv. On my Caddyshack DVD I was watching commentary and the director said "So the first day of shooting we were going to shoot the Dali Lama speech." IT ws in the script, it wasn't improv. It's just great acting.
I´m looking for the name of an american comedy actor from around the era of caddyshack. He was about 60 years old, normal to slim statue, had brown, short hair and was always wearing a baseball cap and is always playing a dull. One of his films was dealing with scouts. Many scenes were recorded with a fisheye lense.
Not only did he ad lib this scene, but he and Chevy ad libbed the scene when Chevy is playing through and they are cannon balling the wine. This movie is is so good, it is on a level of its own.
The best thing about this part the movie, Bill Murray made it up. They just rolled the camera and he did all this all himself! He's so great! ( read it in a interview with Bill) GREAT MOVIE!
god fucking dammit i hate these copyright laws, thanks for the effort with the upload though
