  • I still have my tape from 1988. I was the Klingon Commander. To this day my family still recites that line to me... "Koh Chi Mimba. Jah, hah, hah, hah...."

  • yes this show was where shrek 4D is at now and the flinstones show used to be...T2 3D is where An American Tail and Fievel's Playland used to be :)

  • So awesome, i wish I could have done this.

  • How do I upload my video? I have one from 1991 and 1992, my son was the little kid that was beamed up....

  • HOMIE GETS WHACKED IN HIS KLINGON BALLS AT 4:38! This was an awesome attraction. ALways wanted to be beamed.

  • I was there in 1991, i was only in the audience though, im way too shy to participate in something like this! Man 1991 was good times

  • i did it the summer of 1991, it was worth every penny of the $35 for the recording.

  • I have a video tape of my dad's visit there, it's from 1988 or 1989. Lol, the door closing on that dude!

  • Dammit, how come all the cool attractions no longer exist, like this one? Seriously, this needs to come back in some form. Crap, I'll even take the reimagined Trek at this point for a spin.

  • Awesome, they got the Wilhelm scream in at 2:01 !!!

  • This would have been really cool to have now. I'd put mine on Facebook! LOL

  • I rememeber doing this at Universal Studios Hollywood. I was also in the same "chamber" as the kid on 2:30. I think they dump 3 buckets of water on me.

  • LOL! I was Chekov in mine!

  • hehe. this was awesome. I got to do this twice. Once as an enginering crew member and one as part of the away team hehe. I remember ripping the wig off the klingon hehe it looked so funny. I was about 6 or 7 :)

  • 6:08-6:13 LOL Clap Clap Wave Wave and the precentors are the superior race.

  • I was one of the directors of the show. I played one of the hosts as well as worked with "cast members" back stage to show them what their job was. Thanks for putting this up.

  • I have one of these videos as well! I JUST had it converted to DVD. I will upload mine soon as well. Wouldn't it be cool to find all the other people who were in the video with you? Their names are listed in the credits. In my video I was part of the engineering crew who was killed, and my mom was one of the scrambled Egg-head aliens. LOL

  • I love how the girl is randomly waving then picking her nose when thy get telepported.

  • omg this is great

  • I did this too! Now I gotta find it and upload it too :)

  • Fantastic! I love the foam 'rocks'!! I've got one of those costumes! Thanks for posting!

  • I'm planning on getting one of those jackets. I'm trying to reason with the seller to sell it for less than normal.

  • OMGOMGOMG!!! please tell me these are still around! I wanna do that so bad!!! XD

  • Ha, Sorry Buddy but that Been Gone for a Long time Lmao

  • HA! I was in that when I was 6. I was part of the landing party. That was so much fun

  • poochhaaa laaa!! haahahahhahaa!!! lol

  • "I damand we be executed at once!" "SAY WHAT?!" lol

I wish they had kept this attraction, I'm a big Trekkie and this would have been awesome!

  • itwas time for the flinstones and nickolodean and shrek.

  • they should bring this back at star trek the experience at least, or something like it.

  • lol I remember being on this as the little kid on the away team and my dad was the klingon. I still remember they said to scalp him too and beat him with the rock lol!

  • love this kind of attraction...wonder why they don't have a more updated version at least...closet you can get is Disaster where you star in the film but no video to go

  • Hahah, cool!

  • I saw another one that is posted on youtube back when i went in the mid 90s. I had never seen this one. These are so fun. I wishthey had thise for several shows or movies

  • LOL at 00:55!

  • I would have loved to have been on THAT particular Bridge

  • That kids scalps the klingon!

  • I did this too, back in I think it was 1987. I got to be one of the Klingons on the planet. They just picked a bunch of us out of the lineup and put us in costumes. The Klingons got into character by running through the crowd and snarling at the audience. It was loads of fun. I guess the video technology improved between 87 and 91, because we had to wait a couple of hours for our tapes rather than getting them as we went out the door. I wonder where my tape went...?

  • I remember when they had this type of attraction for the old 70s TV show Emergency, I believe they had one also for the Airport type films but I could be wrong?

  • i wish universal didnt have to tear something down every time they wanted to add a new attraction, although the new additions to the park are great

  • Fun show! I remember it well.

    Thanks for sharing!!!

  • That was very cool. Thanks for sharing it!

  • hilarious pillow fight scene in the middle

  • I am so jealous.. Would have loved to do this!

  • They didn't even try.

  • This was RIDICULOUSLY fun. I got to be the dragon beast! The one in this one is pretty static, I was flailing my mind out. My sister was one of Scotty's crew and my mom (trekkie nerd!) got to overact as one of the on-board crew. Best part was the little boy in the landing party who kept waving at the camera. The tape was expensive, but worth every penny. Now it's a fairly static Shrek show....how sad.

  • I was one of the youngest people to do this. I was around 6 or 8 and they let me be an engineer. great memories, thanks for posting the tape!

  • I'd like to have a costume if anyone has one?

  • This is so cool I wish i could've been old enough to do this

  • My dad and I both got to be in in in 1991. We still have the videotape-- my dad played Chekov and I was the kid in the white uniform who got choked. It was so much fun! Thanks for bringing back the memories.

  • I thought I remember as a kid a Star Trek Adventure was where Shrek4D is now. I've only remembered T23D previously as Fievel's stage shaped like a bucket (and also partly the playground).

  • Oh, please tell me you were that glasses wearing Klingon who laughs at everything he says.

  • OMG!!! This takes me back. I was actually in this show back in the day. I played one of the preceptors when I was like 12...I am 30 now!!! It's been a while. Thanks for the memories. I cant find my tape anywhere!!!

  • wow yeah i remember that one. They changed it. This one was better. It was cops & robbers before that; different strokes before that. So T-2 3d is still there i guess? Cool video

  • HAHA.. This is so funny. I did that too... How many times? OMG..I just read today, 02/18/07 that someone on Crigslist here in LA is selling the last remaining costumes.. the others were distoryed. I'd be interested .. but.. they must be worn and really smelly PEEE-YOU! Mine always was!

  • my dad was in one of these..he was the leader of the klingons in 91?..i think..anyways it was fun to watch..and funny

  • Yeah, that sure was a cool attraction. Video production technology was not as far along as it is now, yet they still managed to have videotapes available for you as you walked out of the attraction. Pretty amazing. Too bad it's gone now, but T2 3D is still pretty cool, and it now stands in its place (I believe).

  • @jackguy22 Actually, it has stood where Shrek 4D is now.

  • I saw that attraction back around that time period at Universal Studios Hollywood. Really a lot of fun. Thanks for posting.

  • Way more elaborate than the newer Universal Studio Adventure. There was only a blue screen not a real set. Lucky!

  • Looking at 1990 and 1994 Star Trek Adventure videos on YouTube that say they're from Universal Studios Florida, it looks like the difference is Florida vs. Hollywood, not older vs. newer.

Thanks for posting this totally different version! They sure had to coordinate a lot stuff for the Hollywood one. Thanks for preserving this neat little bit of theme park history!
