i've been to the usa and tried to watch a baseball game. i mean it is something different, if you know the rules and are into it, but for someone, who does not know baseball, it is the most boring game in the whole world. nothing happens at all, you have to wait 10 minutes for some action and the players are not mostly pretty fat, because they have to run maybe once or twice in a whole game. that's why they have 150 games or so per year, because it isn't exhausting.

I am 33 now and still go to games watch it on tv or listen on the radio. This game means so many things but most of all it brings us back to youth, summer and memories of times that were much easier. I do prefer football (soccer) over baseball, baseball probably my 4th fav sport. But i was brought up with football as im english so when i was growing up i never really knew much about this game. But i do like it, although i only watch from the 6th or 7th inning as i can never sit through a whole game.

Baseball is an American sport, you wouldn't understand. There is a lot of strategy involved in winning the game, not like the mindless back and forth kicking of a ball up and down a field. I'm not surprized baseball is not very big in Europe. It requires patience and attention. I tried to watch the World Cup, I honestly tried. Evidently to some - I sounded like a wanna-be poet from Field of Dreams a few months ago. Sorry, It was still winter and I was sick of it. Nontheless - It is THAT time of year and if I may suggest a memory to have for the future - Take your kid out in the garage to work on something with a ball game on the radio. Or take him and/or her to a game this week. Minor league or summer college league is just as good. It is the best thing going in the hot humid days of summer.

@CarpetMuncher1337 baseball has touched the hearts of so many people all around the world. every little kid wants to grow up to have that world series clutch moment and hit that game-winning home run in the bottom of the ninth in game 7. to say that baseball is a bullshit sport is to say that America and everyone who has ever wanted to be a big league player is bullshit. people love this game. it reunites once broken communities. for lot of people staying up for the whole 9 innings isnt enough.

Will people stop comparing sports? Each sport is different in they own way. Weather you like the contact in football or stamia in soccer. A baseball game is a day enjoyed at the park. It's a great cigar. A tradition and summer long conversation. You either have it or you don't.
Where I come from we love football and basketball in their seasons. But we cherish baseball. I prefer seeing a game in person or having it the soundtrack to my summer on the radio while doing other things - I don't need to see it. I have it all in my head. Nothing beats baseball.

I do prefer football (soccer) over baseball, baseball probably my 4th fav sport. But i was brought up with football as im english so when i was growing up i never really knew much about this game. But i do like it, although i only watch from the 6th or 7th inning as i can never sit through a whole game.

this is a proper sport, its not limited to a clock, at any time any team can win. There are times i'm out of nyquil, i instead put on a soccer game and fall asleep every time. who wants to wait 3 or 4 hours just to see a damn tie? Its only fun when hooligans maul one another.

Baseball is an American sport, you wouldn't understand. There is a lot of strategy involved in winning the game, not like the mindless back and forth kicking of a ball up and down a field. I'm not surprized baseball is not very big in Europe. It requires patience and attention. I tried to watch the World Cup, I honestly tried. Between the complete idiocy of "stoppage time" and the stupidity of yellow or red cards, I discovered why so many people get totally plastered at soccer games. BORING!!!!
