well i just bought the o rokr, they such a cool idea, havent got them in the mail yet, but i still think they look attrocious, absolutely horrible, but cool for a rollerblade session. i just know i will look like such a dork, u look like a dork with them on. and thats not an insult, i really hope they come out with a more streamline shade soon
What kind of phone are you using? Does it already have bluetooth built in? Also you may want to reset and delete the oakley profile and try to sync it up again. Though sometimes it just might not work with the profile setup also check your phones directions as well. Hope this helps.
the new generation IPhones have blue tooth stereo.
Secondly, there is a built in microphone underneath the right ear stem which picks up well. So you don't need your phone to talk. You only need your phone if you need to dial. Other than that you can listen to your music on your iPod with your iCombi as well as listen and talk on your cell phone using only the ORokr. I know this because I've worked for the company, and I own my own as well and helped customers in the past with their ORokr.
The iCombi adapter from Motorola (carried by Oakley) is the 1st gen of the bluetooth iPhone/iPod adapters. The newest model is the ODIO iA50 adapter from Motorola (carried by Oakley).
Here below read the REAL life user review contained in the next three comment boxes below. This is the review for the Oakley O Roker Pro. Not be confused with the non Pro model the Oakley O Roker. Read on from the bottom comment box then continued in the next comment box above till you get back here. LOL no but seriously !
Cont'd from post below. Charge this with proprietary charger. No battery you can change on the fly. Once ur outta power it's back to another bluetooth headset or the old fry ur brain with the fone on ur ear thing. Looks geeky according to friends who have seen it on me. I don't give a sh*t what peeps think. Great especially for driving. Where they have laws that ban all electronics while driving you can get away with murder. You can listen with right, left or both ear pods.Good 4 noisy times.
Cont'd from post below...... As this is not a typical hang on your ear bluetooth headset which peeps are used to seeing peeps will think ur nuts or ur talking to urself. Be ready for weird looks. Frankly speaking I find it entertaining. What makes this better than the MP3 glasses is the number of songs is only limited by your devices storage. I have a 2gb card in my phone so all I have to do is pack around more cards to carry around more songs. Cont'd next comment...
I have the second generation of these puppies and they simply rock. Maybe that's why they call it the O Roker. Listen to your music on any device that support bluetooth stereo (that would be just about every music phone out these days (May 6,2009.) A phone call comes in and you hear a beep on the earpods in your ears. You press a button and you answer the phone. The music stops and you just talk (microphone built into the glasses.) Cont'd next comment....
You first might want to try connecting first with the SlVR make sure it does have bluetooth, for the phone connection. Then go and try to sync up the ipod touch with the adapter. I was able to have my iphone take and send calls while having the adapter hooked up so it does work.
Okay...I recently purchased this and I sucessfuly paired it with my itouch. How the heck do I pair it with my motorolla slvr? HELP!! I called customer care and they said to just search for devices on my phone...Umm yeah, that didn't work..so I searched youtube for answers. Help me if you can I would appreciate it big time... :) thanks!
If you don't have them I am sure Oakley has the manual downloadable somewhere. What MamboPython said is accurate instruction. Simply turn ur glasses on then search for them on ur phone. If you don't see it already synched then do a Search for bluetooth devices. Easy !
wat a wanker!!!! if this is the iphone you can use its built in bluetooth instead of connecting the icombi. i got mine after a week of them coming out in summer 2006. love them but you do look a bit wierd when your walking down the street taking a phone call with them on
how do i hook this up to my ipad

iPhone does not have A2DP to stream music kind sir, you can only get phones hence you need the icombi to stream the music.

I beg to differ. Owning one it is actually both. Oakley makes the glasses part and Motorola makes the electronics part so you're both right.
