Wow, that was pretty good. The actors did a nice job and the overall direction of the scene was perfect. The cinematography was pretty good too, but I think the use of light and color could have been handled better also I think you needed to have a more party-like ambiance, but I guess it wouldn't have been possible to trash the house you were using a bit, hehe.

But this is one of the best adaptations of any part of a book that I've seen. Nice job.

actually, i think he did think about it. i just got my book and looked for the scene (april 18, 1992). it doesn't say anywhere that he just got up. there's a whole paragraph that he contemplates on whether or not to kiss mary elizabeth because if he does, he would be lying. i think that kinda implies that he was thinking about it. sorry for this really long reply, but this is one of my favorite books ever =]

You shouldve put a little more emphasis on the kiss and on mary elizabeth's reaction

As in, like a shot of ME beginning to tear up a little bit and some quick cuts of people's expressions
