I'm not a celebrity but I have dealt with similar situations and people in my day to day life. I have used those same three steps too! Another method that works is playing deaf and dumb. They talk your head off about something boring or they ask you a favor, what you do is act like you misunderstood what they said completely by saying something like,"Yeah, I agree. Good idea! I'll do that then. Talk to you later." Then walk away. Every time I've used that they are left standing there dumbfounded
