  • great talent .. very entertaining .. thanks

  • Come on how many people talk and email at the same time .I rather have unlimited data plan than the crappy 2gig limit.Huh who cares I am in japan anyways were 5 years ahead on cell phone technology tell me when you could pay for stuff with your cell phone in the US.

  • LOLZ SORRY VERIZON!!!!!

  • Verizon's Network still can't. even with the iPhone.

  • u could do that with facetime with the new iphone4 and itouch 4

  • try that commercial with a iphone4 rofl

  • Come on Droid accept the fact more people want iPhones especially with ALL it's wonderful features.

    iPhone Rocks!

  • Even with the FUD thrown in, the fact is clear,

iPhone is rated the best consumer and business smart phone by J.D. Power and Associates. Plus,

    iPhone + AT&T > iPhone wannabe + another network.

  • Can your iPhone do this on AT&T? .....MAYBE....if you have 3G coverage.

    2G GSM/EDGE don't.

mmmmhhhhh...be careful....Verizon response to this add is way too easy....

The interesting thing is that for the first time, Apple feels nervous about another smart phone. Competition is great. More choices for the end user.

  • Apple is not saying the whole true.

You can do this with a DROID on Verizon....using EVDO-RevA multiple RLP flows feature with VOID best effort.

If this is the only defense they've got...they are in trouble.

iPhone is a good product...not a good mobile...but a good multimedia devices. But this marketing lies are just creating more confusion among the consumers.

Just be aware that what Apple is saying is not true from a air interface and standard point of view. Questions?

  • Can you phone and your network do that?

    Here is the botton line:

iPhon on AT&T: yes...as long as you have good 3G Coverage. If not...you cannot do it.

DROID on Verizon: yes, using Multiple RLP (Radio Link Protocols) flows feature. For example, using GoogleVoice to make VOIP calls with best effort and having a second flow for a browser data session and surf the internet.

I hope this clarifies the confusion this new Apple add is creating among consumers.

    Take care everyone.

  • Yes, my Droid and my Verizon can do this!

  • DROID ENVY

  • hat jmd lust auf bissl chatn ihr werdets nicht bereuen ;)

  • it's a shame that verizon doesn't have any good phones (considering it has the best 3G coverage) instead AT&T tends to get the best phones.

  • As much as I hate AT&T sometimes, I do appreciate being able to browse the web and talk to people at the same time.

  • @sunnyjason Are you going to go tweet that you're talking on the phone? I really don't understand why this is that big of a deal and most people have a computer nearby that they can check their email/facebook/twitter/anything internet related on while they talk on the phone.

  • Love the Iphone. How about a network that can have a call that doesn't drop before I can use that cool feature. Try this. Open an IM message, talk to a friend, open ANYTHING else without your IM closing. Point is Every phone and network have 'limitations. Get off the high horses because as a device the Iphone rocks, but as a PHONE it kinda sucks.

  • There's an APP for that.

  • ya, its called the Palm Pre on Sprint!!!!

  • Except when are you not near a computer when you need to look up something its not like your going to want to be on speakerphone while walking down the street or riding in a car. Oh I know this feature is great for those who like to drive, talk, and surf the web just what we need more accidents.

  • how about using a earphone and checking facebook and twitter at the same time?

  • Ummm, actually, yes my WinMo phone does this. I can open apps while on a call. What's Apple's point?

  • its more like att's point, data and voice at the same time, which vzw cant do.

  • you can't on Verizon. They have a big flaw as they do not let you use the internet or any data while in a call. So you may beable to open apps but they won't connect to the internet. They are saying on AT&T you can.

  • only reason to get a iphone if you can jailbreak it

  • just face it IPhone is the most unique phone, all the others are clones of it. Droid is garbage.

  • how is it garbage?

  • yes my phone and my network can do that!! 3GS everywereee!!

  • @macboy09 No, it can't. Let's face it folks. If it wasn't for the Iphone, there wouldn't be all these wannabe phones out...just face it. The iPhone's been out for years and there's no single phone out there of the many out that sells better or is more popular than the iPhone.

  • What are you talking about? My phone and my network can do both things.. I even have a 3gs connection if i'm at a remote farm or something.. I don't have a ipod..

And now you're stating that i can't do that because i don't have a iphone? You're an idiot fanboy...

  • No fanboy, it's the truth. There's no way of settling this. Name me one thing that another touchscreen phone that the iPhone doesn't. And I haven't used any Verzion's over-hyped phones but I think this ad is referring to the ad of some new phone that the company keeps releasing, where they talk more about ATT then they do of the actual Verzion phone. It's CDMA. And this is simply showing that there's nothing that makes any other phone superior to that of the iPhone.

  • There is no 3Gs, that is only for the iPhone. You mean 3G.

  • 0:08, Tom Lenk / Parker Grant / Andrew Wells, made my life complete :)

  • same. that made me squeak like a good lil fangirl.

  • Nice respond, but what they don't tell you is, that you can only make calls and use data if you are connected to the 3G network.....if not it is the same like Verizon (call or data, not both)

But in fact, it isn't a big deal, because if you browse the web with EDGE and get a call, the data connection will be disconnected and you get the call! I think it is the same with Verizon

  • I never thought apple would respond to Verizon ads when apple claimed competitors are still trying to catch up to the 1st Iphone. It seems like the Droid crushed more nerves than I thought. I wonder what's next for Iphone as it is aging.

  • except i don t call anyone to tell him look at my email or order flowers for my anniversary online

  • no, but network won't drop my calls and treat me like shit

    Verizon for life, faggots

  • Verizon treated me like shit...

  • why do people keep sayin that At&t drops calls, ive Never had one

  • well the depends. If you are one edge, you will have less dropped calls. Also if you are in a very big city where network speed is congested, like New York, you will loose even more calls

  • Me neither. I actually had more problems with Verizon than I have had with AT&T. I am glad I left Verizon for AT&T, I really do not like their childish ads because they cannot get the iphone. Keep on dreaming Verizon users.

  • very nice commercial! i really hope Apple comes up with the best cellphone of 2010

  • why? what do you get out of it?

  • really nice strike back without being lame

  • TOTALY MAN!!!

verizon is lame as shitzen maaa

  • i agree

  • The Droid can view emails regardless if you're on a call or not. If the friend says if you got the email, mostly likely you did since your email is pushed to your phone.

As far as browsing the web, yeah you need to be on wifi on the Droid to browse then be on the call at the same time. Limitation of a CDMA network.

Though to play devil's advocate, AT&T would have dropped your call way before you even fired up Safari.

  • Didn't happened.... FAIL

  • The song is Submarine Symphonika by The Submarines.

This ad is smart! (it take a swipe on Verizon).

  • takes

  • What's the song?
