@GIjohnpaul head shots can be strange beasts. Bullets can circumnavigate the skull under the skin, can ricochet off, and all sorts of things. Yeah, a good head shot is a high chance of a quick drop, but a lot can happen when you have something at 2000-3000 fps hitting a skull.

@spraynpray buckshot is nice in case you miss due to the spread, they have very good terminal ballistics as well, nail the hog in a major muscle group and it can't charge you that well.

After the first round and the hog just doubles back aimlessly I would have been so amazed I wouldn't have fired a second shot, let him figure out that he is dead without the 2nd reminder. Third shot was a waste of ammo.

After the first round and the hog just doubles back aimlessly I would have been so amazed I wouldn't have fired a second shot, let him figure out that he is dead without the 2nd reminder. Third shot was a waste of ammo.

I am sure you won't understand this, but there is no connection between hunting and lack of morals. In most places wild hogs are a horrible environmental disaster, a displaced species that has bred to unnaturally large numbers and carry disease and destruction of wildlife habitat. They also taste good, and are exciting to hunt.

im guessing you havent seen the inside of a hog confinement. not a healthy environment. they feed the shit scrapped off of the farrowed pigs crate and mix it with feed then feed it to preg pigs weeks before birth its called feedback and it prevents scrouces. not even mentioning the amount of shots and medicated feed that accumalates in there body.
