2) Calling them "new". They've been around since the late '90s. Some of their best stuff is from then.

3) Using the "twin: label. They make a point to try to avoid labels like being twins or lesbians or Canadian.

4) Attributing their fame to the internet alone. They're so popular because they write great music and are cool people that the crowd can relate to.

5) Their names are not "Tagen and Sahruh"

Tegan was the name of one of the Doctor's side kicks on Doctor Who, a famous show produced in Britain. I guess this guy's not a sci-fi fan. (Incidentally, Tegan's closest rival for best-known side kick on old school Doctor Who was a character called Sarah Jane). Regardless, there's no excuse for pronouncing Sara as "Zara", unless you're a German TV host.
