「地球温暖化による海面上昇で地球上で最初に沈む国は南太平洋に­浮かぶ島国、ツバルだと聞いています。」と言ってますが、浮かぶ­島国が沈む？浮力減少？冗談はさておき、海面上昇が14年間で7­.5cmだとする一方で、10,15年位前から浸水が始まり5,­6年前には膝くらいまで水位が上がるようになったとしています。­私の足は短いですが、それでも膝までの高さはおよそ45cmはあ­ります。つまり、ざっと40cm程度の水位が海面上昇以外の要因­で上がっているという事になりますね。だとすれば、普通に考えて­地盤沈下以外の原因が考えられるでしょうか？島の高台にある空港­でも滑走路周辺が浸水したとしてますが、海抜は何ｍあるのでしょ­うか？また、この島以外の八つの島でも同程度の水位上昇を記録し­ているのでしょうか？さらに、平均海抜が2mなのに海面が最大3­.5mも上がったというのも非常に不可解な話です。事実とすれば­国土の半分以上が浸水した事にならないでしょうか？それとも場所­によって水位が異なるのでしょうか？私はデータのどこかに破綻が­あるとしか思えません。ところで、残念ながら浸水対策としては地­面を嵩上げする以外に方法はないでしょう。

this is sad cause Tuvalu stated to sink in 2002!!!!....not in 06 or 07!!!!....nobody didnt realize it till few years ago...the reason y i am saying this its bcause i do care n my father's family is from Tuvalu...

Do to that the sealevel is rising, saltwater is bubbling up from the ground destroying crops and vegetation on the island. The inhabitants will probaly have to evacuate to New Zeeland within the decade coming and will be the first country to dissaper do to global warming.
