WOW! I've never gotten the Hal hate.....as far as i'm aware everyone in the cast liked & got on well with him. I've read many interviews & comes across as an intelligent, fun, sweet guy who is actually very much into equality for all and gay rights etc...so give the guy a break...i LOVE Hal Sparks

I love Hal Sparks, "I have the vocal chords of a brontosaurus." ;) I think he's funny and sweet and very brave for taking on that role. Before I saw the show, I thought he was the star from what I saw in the media. Then I realized it was because Gale and Randy were more shy and reserved in interviews (which made me love them even more seeing how completely bold and powerful their characters and performances were!) But Hal is great, and Michael (and his 'Ma', Debbie) were the heart of the show.

i was lucky enough to meet hal sparks after watching his stand up. he is truly very nice and his onstage/onset persona is different from his normal persona. but of course, as an entertainer he has an obligation to ENTERTAIN people and to have a certain presence that people expect from him. give him a break!

I don't get all the Hal hate! I get that his character can be annoying at some time but seriously! All this bashing all the time is ridiculous! Hal is a comedian, therefore he makes jokes. Get over it! Gale doesn't do interviews because it isn't his thing. He's the more quiet reserved type IRL & there's nothing wrong with that. Also, I have never heard any actor outright say that they didn't like or get along with Hal. over 80% of rumors are false. Randy said the same about his rumors.

i dont think he's trying to hog the spotlight or anything. i think that's just the kind of person he is. he's outgoing and likes to talk with people and like everyone else is saying hes a comedian so he resorts to jokes naturally. im glad hes like that or else this would be boring.

The focus is usually on Hal probably because he provides comic relief (since he is/was a comedian) as well as a relatively fluid interview. Gale isn't in much interviews I think because of his lack of oration skills. He's an amazing actor, but his interviews are a little... weak. But I, like you, would love to see the real Gale more. I adore Gale.

Well, that much is obvious. I've read some of his interviews. If you screen out all his 'um's, 'like's, and 'you know's, he's brilliant. I'm just saying he has a little more difficulty articulating his thoughts compared to some of the other cast members (such as Hal Sparks). I never said that he wasn't intelligent, just that his interviews aren't as smooth. Please don't imply that I said otherwise.
