@ldimples1566 since no one else is answering ur ?, no, it will not only work on wifi. its will work over whatever internet connected device you have. 3g, whatever verizons cellular network is called, you name it. it'll work. i just bought it today, and i love it. works like a charm
What is the difference between the pro hd and solo coz I know the solo has an hd connection also at the back. Will also this work on my shaw pvr 500gb motorola dcv3400? If you're gonna tell me go ask my cable company, I did already and got no response. If you're gonna ask to go search online, I did already and not much information
The Hauppauge Broadway has a built-in digital tuner, connects via both WiFi and Ethernet, and does not require a separate purchase of software for your mobile devices.
Can I use it only with the built in tuner? I own no set top boxes or TV set but get a lot of free (unencrypted) digital cable channels. I'd love to watch those on my iPad and am searching for a tuner box that will stream them to my iPad.
Is the Slingbox Pro-HD a good choice for that or is there a better device for my purpose?
@LinkTamake Nope. I think I read that they had licensing issues or some other crap. Component is fine IMO, since the television companies here output at crappy 1080i (sometimes 720p), both at a crappy nitrate.
@0Mynameisjason0 If you're streaming over your local network, then it shouldn't affect your monthly bandwidth, as it's not using any actual Internet data. A 5 hour local stream would use over 20GB at aroud 8Mbps, which doesn't matter since it's all on your own network.
