@MckyMseNTarotCrds Hi, it's completed and has been open since January 10 was up there on the 3rd of this month it does get very busy and booking in advance is recommended. At the momment it is the tallest structure in the world and the worlds fastest elevator will take 60 seconds to reach the observation decks (ears will pop) and as far as I'm aware no other country have any definate plans to build anything taller.

It's Dubai so it's an islamic country and also it's not in a holy area to muslims so it's cool for westerners to go there. Anyway Great tower to base jump from. Dubai is a very wealthy city and very friendly to other countries. It's easy to find a job there so no one is poor, so nobody blames the west for them being miserable. That's how you stop terrorism give them a job so they can support their family and don't go to countries that have Islamic holy sites. Case closed!

This city was built so that when the oil reserves to run out United Arab Emirates will still have a stable economy which would run mainly on tourism. Dubai would be a great place to visit in the near future if you had money, but id say that it is just a desert right now.
