@MrGangstathug23 Why? Did you see that the ball traveled 7 yards (21 feet) backwards after beeing thrown 40 yards forwards? Ya only a force moving against the balls direction is going to send it back that far.

I announced this play at a "NFL Experience" at the Super Bowl in Glendale (when the Giants beat the Pats, though we didn't have tickets). My friend read the screen word-for-word while I ad-libbed so there wouldn't be so much "dead air" time. I wasn't born in 1972, so sorry I got the score wrong - it wasn't on the teleprompter ... give me a break! I winged this whole bit. And, yeah, I had a few $9 beers ...
