I used to listen to this everyday when I was in kindergarten and have been trying to find it for years. Thank you so much for making my memory come again :)
my kids was born 24 weeks gestation, and we were told that they will have a problem with learning development.. they where 143 days at NICU the day they were out, i play this song to them to calm them down, and it works.. now my son.. who is only 20 monts old 16 months adjusted.. recognize letters.. and say the sounds while saying it.. his therapist. for developmental came the other day.. and was so amaze that he could almost read.. and i was ask what did i do to him? thanks barbara for this.
Am glad you enjoy my video. We do not offer it on teachertube, but I do offer video DVDs on my website that are used by many teachers, and may work for you. Thank you again for your comments.
My son's SPED class uses this song all the time, I'm wondering if you ever did a version with signs attached to it? Because is is a Special Needs class they do it with the signs as well as the words. Thank you
We used to listen to this song when my son was about 18 months old...and maybe a handful of times since then. The other day he (now 2 1/2) just starting singing it randomly to my husband! I thought it was so cute...they really do pick up and remember these things!
my mom used to play this tape for me when i was little. brings back so many memories. i can recite the whole tape from start to finish even several years later.
Am sorry, but my specialty is from prenatal to 8 years and I have nothing that is for other age children, although much of my music as far as the phonics songs have been used for older children and adults who are trying to learn English as a second language and want to know the correct phonetic sounds. Try it...you will be amazed at the results!
@barbaramilne My 17 month daughter knows this song and constantly sings it at the top of her lungs even in the supermarket much to the delight of staff and other customers. Have downloaded most of your albums from iTunes. Wonderful job, Thank you Barbara.
Do you do any songs for older children? I teach ESL to Dutch children ages 7-13, but the tone of these songs is a bit too childish for them. The level of English is perfect for beginners, though... Just wondering if you had any tips!
you may go to my website as shown on the video, and I will ship to you. I send my products all over the world. Email me if I may be of any assistance. Thank you for your interest
I have twin boys with autism, 5 yrs old. Their teacher uses this song to help teach the letters and letter sounds. My boys can barely talk, but one of them walks around the house singing this song. He can now tell me the sound of any letter in any order. This is a great teaching tool -- thank you.
Thank you for your wonderful comments! Teaching is my passion and this new version really does work in helping the young mind decode the English language.
My daughter has disabilities and has trouble speaking. Your video has done more for her language skills than three years of speech therapy. There is no way I can thank you enough. Please keep doing what you are doing. God bless you.
Very creative! The repetitive tune along with the words help children learn. As educators, we must be creative to keep the attention of the kids. Learning needs to be FUN! Check out my channel. Thank you for what you do to educate children.
I am so impressed by this, I am using it with my 6 month old son every day. Your voice is absolutely LOVELY and my little boy is just mesmerized by both your voice and the pictures. Thank you so much, I'm so glad my brother-in-law showed it to me!!!
~smiles with happy memories~ Yes this was in cassette form when I bought it for my pre-school age kids. It was more then I could afford back then but got it anyway and never regretted it.. Hoping the 'I love you so much ' song is in here too.. this was the most enjoyable and memorable educational tool I ever bought.
@AlohaSiempre sorry dear i didn'y mean to press thumb down but it was pressed by mistake while scroling with my daughter in my lap...i am trying to remove it if i can...:-(
its an amazing vedio..my 3 yr old already knows alphabet but its so much easy and fun to make him learn phonics and lower case alphabet all together at once...thanx for making this vedio Babara !
omg....when my friends were playing ouija board at the haunted house where a 3year old boy died, the board kept saying "Ack Ack Ack.(0:20)" We didn't know what it meant, but maybe the boy ghost was singing to this song..o_O dang...I'm having goosebumps right now..
Yes...seriously! Young children, parents and teachers have been using this since 1984 to help children learn to speak English. Thank you for watching!
There is a version like the one you want and is found on my Fingerplay and Fun CD that can be purchase on my website iqbooster. A video of this version is in the works and hopefully will be posted to youtube soon. Thank you for your input!
Is there any way to get a version that says the letter name, then the picture, then the sound? like a, apple ah ah ah, etc? we love this song, but my some of my sped kids aren't really getting the connection of the letter name as well.
The new version that says the letter name first is now uploaded. It should be available for your viewing soon. Would appreciate your input and whether this is what you were looking for.(:
Thank you so much for your wonderful song and video! Not to date us, but I used the tape with my daughter when she was a toddler, and she adored it. She is turning 24 in two days, and she can still sing it! I've used it with my speech therapy class and continue to play it for children in my speech-language private practice. Many parents have run out to buy the CD after hearing the song. Thanks again! - Rhonda Banford, M.A.T., CCC-SLP, Ballwin, MO
HI there - thank you for this. We love your melodic voice and the tune you have for this song. However, on the images, are you able to impose real images instead of cartoons? this helps tremendously with learning and recognizing. Thanks!
Much appreciate your input! But, studies have shown that the way I have created the artwork to look like the letter is far superior to the real photo of the subject that has no shape of the letter. You can show a child a snake, and the letter "S" and they will not associate the 2 items. Place the "S" over the snake and the child begins to associate the 2 items. This has been proven as one of the best ways for children to begin to decode the english language! Use this video...it works magic!!!
@barbaramilne WoW!!! great answer.. I almost thought that the inputted photo's of animals should be improved.. but you are right.. hehe you really are good in this.. btw.. thanks for this vid.. my 2 year old son REALLY!!! loves this song and this is he's most favorite song now.. He would stand up if he hears your song.. ^^ GOd Bless you ..
my baby sister loves this ! she's only 20 months old, and every single time i try to get on the computer, she goes a a a, and i immediately know it's this :D thanks for the upload, i thought my baby sister wasn't going to talk or do any sounds, but when i showed her this, she catched on and learned some of the sounds !
We used to watch the older version everyday and now that the other has been removed and we watch this it freezes up a lot. Do you know how this can be fixed? My son is in love with this!
Sorry that they were removed..it was done by accident, and I am trying to bring the popular ones back up. I just went through the video, and it works perfectly, so I believe it has something to do with your computer. You may have to clear your cookies and cache from your browser..that sometimes causes the slowdown.
