Its pretty typical for someone to be good at low key singing in a controlled, natural setting. (like a studio or say.. the shower). Like no ones voice is THAT bad, but its still typical to not be great at projecting it, especially without proper training. I love selena and this is totally fine with me, Bc it shows how much like us she is, i think.

This to me is sad pop culture. I mean, yeah, she CAN sing. But a good singer? No. A good singer is someone like Adele, Céline Dion, or Bono. Allthough it's a matter of personal opinion, the lack of power, characteristics and the ability to hit highs is obvious when she sings. Yeah, she is an above average "shower singer", but nothing special. The only reason she is ever going to make a hit, is because she has good studio engineers, follows the "pop formula" and ofc, she's Selena Gomez...
