I like this song a lot. I think songs like this go so great with fallout because there is death and sadness in the wasteland but the music is still soft and happy.
@kallemick i know its Bob Crosby version but every time I hear this song it remind me Fallout 3. and many poeple like to listen these kind of music after they played the game, its a good way of introuduce good music to young poeple.
Magnificent. I wonder what happened to music like this. I mean, I know about the social factors that led people to turn away from optimism and start accepting unshielded hedonism and acceptance of all kinds of conduct (even evil ones) as a dogma, but I just don't see how people could let it happen. It doesn't make sense.
P.S.: I'm actually less than 30 myself, but I'm a student of social and economic history.
Yes, it would something if those dear hearts came back. Days when you could leave doors unlocked. Incidentally - listening to that - I didn't know Jim knew Mrs Mills!
p7811fx I am with ya man... the 1950's period is the greatest I think... besides the Cold War & Korea it was one of the resting periods in America where you could just relax and not worry about anything
Fallout 3 wasn't really based in the time period (It was actually some time in 2337 or something.) But just had a lot of themes(music, advertisement) from that era in it.
@p7811fx I always go to my grandparents house and everytime I do they're blasting this off their record player. It's amazing of how much talent those people had back then when now all these big hit artists use their computer software to make them sound good.
thank you for this jim reeves show i love it may jim rest in peace forever gentleman jim was sooo good i still miss his superb gentle and sweet voice but thankgod i have the welcome to my world cd box 16 cd's and i can listen to them al
