can't believe you let your cat near that beautiful instrument, but man it's neat to watch him try to play it!  Just curious if those are gut strings or nylon?

They are gut strings. It is an old harp that had to be repaired at the time; the tension on the strings is not full as you can hear.

I wonder if the gut strings are what attracts him to it? Mine are wire and nylon & my cat's not shown the slightest interest. Then again, your cat may just be more musically inclined. Wonder if there would be a way to train him with scents or food placed upon specific strings to actually play a song?
