Very much a classic ballad, from a brilliant, talented band, I recall after their appearance on 'Top of the Pops' some of the BBC Radio crowd dismissing them as gimmicky, contrived and 'bubble-gum' pop in fancy dress ... The same humorless chunky knit jumper brigade would later label Adam and the Ants as 'the pimp of pop' and decry Gary Numan as derivative Bowie sound-a-like ... have seen Sailor live twice, in Germany and Holland - simply unforgettable.
